How do you build the computer to tell the paddles to go up or down?

Depending the transmission you have.. i have an automatic 4t65e HD and fieroking build mine. He used an emulator.

 this works if you  are looking to just eliminate the  shifter..
with the  arduino it  could be  changed  more to  to   make  it an  actual shift  controling the shift  solenoids when in  "D".. and still  use the actuator to  control  from P R N D

Once you have your schematic, burn a circuit board and solder it up! The paddles dont go up and down down though  :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, guys.  One paddle is for "up shifting" and the other is for "down shifting".  They were built for electronically controlled automatic transmissions.  Jim

Yes , was  just  joking around..   The set-up  I  linked to   and one  MM  uses  will  pretty  much  work  with  any  automatic   transmission,  it  does  not  have to  be   electronic.
