We originally weren't going to make these for sale but after numerous PM's and members showing interest in the OEM splashed console, Texas decided to do a limited run on the Murci consoles. The reason in doing a limited run is so he can continue with his build ASAP. As most of you know the G28 consoles are made for the right drive cars so they will never be correct, this is a copy of the original Murci console. These consoles are a MUST if you plan on having any sort of accurate interior. Pricing will be $250 and buyer pays shipping. Orders will be processed and shipped in the order they were paid for. All orders must be paid in full in one week from todays date August 6th. Money will either need to be send as gift/personal or $257.77 if you want to pay the paypal fees.
PayPal address is revo_rc@yahoo
If you have any questions PM either of us.
This is the original G28 console that is sold with our bodies, notice how you have to turn the switch panel upside down to get it to fit correctly

These are pictures of the console that molds were taken from

I'm in for one, thanks for making these guys!
-
Ol Tex did an awesome job on the mold. Looking forward to getting one of these as well. ::thumbup
-
Will these ship with the console lid as shown in the picture?
Count me in for one if they are complete with the console lid.
Thanks,
Chris
-
Sorry Chris the switch panel isn't included :(... I don't even have one or I would sell them together :'(
-
This is the console lid that I was referring too.
Is this part included with the console or will it be another purchase? The one you have seems to fit the console nicely, is this a part you can loan to Texas so he can pull a mould from it and offer them together?
Thanks,
Chris
-
i have a carbon fiber OEM switch panel ,i will loan you to make copies if you are Texas are the people i loan too. so all the people who want one, can get one.

That's really nice of you IKR. I bet that the console lid that I sent you for the UK version console would work also if you are willing to loan this to Texas for this US version console.
It's good to see members working together like this.
Thanks,
Chris
-
i can loan it too , i will put it back together ,i also have the lid doors , got a full size paper template for the top of the seat belt openings
-
That's awesome. Thanks IKR ::salute
-
YES!!!!! ::rocker I had that piece but it is still in Canada and not sure when I can get it back. But if IKR can get it to Tex that would be FaNtAsTiC! Im not sure what the cost will be for Tex to set up the mold and make that piece for us though ::counfused
LOL on another note he will be happy we all volunteered him to to this ::tongue
-
Also that arm rest piece in the picture, is the UK version that comes with the G28 bodies I'm pretty sure they are the same size as OEM and will fit the OEM console.
-
Yep.. just tell me the price for both pieces and if it stays reasonable.. I'm still in for both.
Thanks,
Chris
-
Thanks all ::scratch. I don't mind making the other parts if IKR dose t want to and thanks for the loaners. I fell like this is what our community should be about coming together to offer parts that will either save us money or better our builds and that's why I am willing to do this. I would think these parts should be $100-$150 extra but don't hold me to that as I haven't copied them yet. I just need to cover my materials and some of my time as I am sure you guys wouldn't want to pay me full price for time. :)

Can you and IKR work together in the background and get the parts in hand so you can give us some final costs? When you know how much this is going to be, expected time for delivery and what the shipping will be, I'll send you a PayPal payment for the parts.
Thanks,
Chris
-
I will work with IKR on the other parts but please be patent as IKR and use truckers from my work to save money on shipping and its hit and miss on pickups. I will make a few consoles in the meantime. I will update when the info is available.
-
Ok just to keep things simple, Texas and I (for now) with the time frame that we have, are just going to make the console to whoever is interested and pays. When the time comes and we have all of the rest of the parts from IKR or whoever donates we will do another limited run on console lid, armrest and switch panel.
Sorry, this is just the way it has to be for now with the time frame. Texas often works out of town and has limited time to build the consoles, get them shipped and work on his car. This isn't intended to make any money just make the parts available. I'm getting nothing out of this just posting for Tex since he cant be on the forum as often as I am. ::salute
-
Hey guys I made two this weekend and will be shipping the first two either today or tomorrow. ::LAMBO
-
WoW fantastic work Tex! They look so much better then the original I have ::beers Buyers are going to be really happy with these.... ::headbang
-
very nice work :)
-
Nice! One of those is mine. ::headbang
Chris
-
Thanks guys. Yes sir yours is pictured. I will let you know the shipping when I get a price.
-
Just a quick reminder, TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY....!!!!
-
I don't know how many of you guys got in on this deal but I received mine today and I'm very impressed with the part. The part is very rigid and it looks strong enough to withstand the abuse that a center console takes. I'm now working on fitting it out with a couple OEM pieces and this guy will be smiling! ::toothy
Thanks Texas and Dustin!
Chris
PS - Leaving positive feedback ::thumbup
-
Awesome!!! Really glad to hear, Tex does some fantastic work I'm glad that he decided to take this on for us!!! ::salute
-
Thanks guys! I am glad to help and I am glad you liked the part. All consoles have been shipped except for 640 I got his out of the mold today and it will ship tomorrow. Thanks again. I will update everyone when the other parts become available. ::headbang
-
It's nice and solid, very nice. I appreciate the time and effort guys
-
Got mine today and it looks awesome! Thanks Aaron and Dustin...
-
I received my console yesterday. At first it appeared that someone had sent me a pulpit. I cut away the tape and quickly revealed a fine piece of fiberglass work from Mr.Texas. The fiberglass quality and thickness are excellent and I couldn't be happier.
-
Does anyone have this piece that fits this console?
-
I don't think so, I know I don't at the moment.Buy it and have a few made so they are available... ::toothy
-
Does anyone have this piece that fits this console?
I'll throw in some $$ for the purchase if you allow us to replicate it
-
I can get this original one for a good price, does anyone know the difference from this to the newer style one? Except for the obvious hole in the middle.
-
I believe that is for the older Murcie "non LP" style.
-
I believe that is for the older Murcie "non LP" style.
Yes it is, but is there any other differences than the one for the e-gear hole?
-
IDK. I will be getting the other console parts from IKR next week. We worked out a part borrowing trade so the parts will be avalible shortly. Thanks for all the good feedback. ::thumbup
-
Auto I believe they are the same other then the hole in the center... What is "cheap" if we need it maybe a few of us could go in on it and have it copied?
Unless IKR has a copy of an original we can borrow
-
i have a OEM CF one LP model ,i will pull it out so you can make some copies
-

Yay!!
-
Please let me know when these are avaiable - I want one :)
-
Can you guys make the center console in carbon fiber? How much would that cost?
-
Sorry bud I wouldn't be able to make a carbon version. It would be cheaper to make a fiberglass one then wrap a single layer cf over it but even that would run you $1200-$1500. I wouldn't be willing to take that on but maybe you could. ::salute
-

This is exciting! I know I bought it already but curious to see what the grab handle looks like since I'm impatient. How many pieces does it come out as?

Two piece mold makes one part. Then I reverse mold the console area where it attaches then glass that to it so it is easier to mount- so two parts but you will get it already put together as one part.

Hey bud I can't say for sure that it would fit without mods. If you think you could use them then let me know but I would hate to miss guide you. Thanks

Wow , great looking parts ,- (better get that tree up looks like..).
It looks like you guys will need something to do over the christmas period - like make the console lid operate. I have attached a couple of sketchup files which have the parts and the relative geometry for the spring holes , this is a late specification part and seams a bit more complicated than other versions I have seen so can be made a bit simpler.
Save the files and then change the file extension from DOC to SKP .
::toothy
NOTE - I've allowed SKP files to be shared on the site now (See Above) - Chris
-
That is something I've been wondering about, thanks! Although I can't get it to work properly with word viewer or anything that I have, what are you using?
-
Sorry , thought it was clearer,- you will need to download google sketchup (free) , and once you have changed the file extension from doc to SKP , it will then load into sketchup . You will then have a 3d model of the parts and use the measurement tool to measure any part and draw it out onto your metal and then bend to shape - hopefully. I would recommend some shouldered bolts for the hinge as they make the nicest job.
Any problems I can post pics of the part.
::thumbup
-
This is how the two files should appear when opened.
-
I'll go ahead and change the site settings to allow the uploading and downloading of .skp extensions so there is no need to change the file name for Sketchup files in the future. ::toothy

AWESOME FILES!
I didn't know these existed... please share more!
If you have a lot of these, I can create a spot of the site just for them.
Thank you for sharing String!

Tallon, what is the part number on those bases for the cushions? I found the cushions (around $6.00 a piece) but didn't see a part number for the actual bases.
Thanks,
Chris

Oh man. Nice contribution String. ::salute

AUDI or Lambo part no. 8L0827249 , one piece component, just add pop rivets. :)

For some reason they are much cheaper to buy through Lambostuff than through a VW dealership, go figure. Lambostuff price on them is $6.00
This is how they come:
-
Awesome.. thanks guys. I have them on order already. I seen them on my buddies car the other day and wanted to order them but could only see the part number for the cushions and thought there might be more to it since they were only $6.00. For a Lamborghini OEM part... these are a bargain for what you actually get! ::tongue
Chris

Are these the same part in the front and the back? So we need four total? Two for the front hood and two for the rear engine lid?
-

Great question and I don't recall seeing them in the engine compartment which doesn't mean they are not there (probably just not as noticeable). I decided against putting a lot of OEM appearing or original parts in the engine compartment just because the engine is first indication that the car is a replica when the engine cover is up however since you need something back there anyhow to cushion the cover, at $14 a pair you'd be lucky to come up with a decent donor at that price.
Chris
-
The ones for the rear show a different part number: 417807333
You can see them in this picture and they are different.
-
Thanks guys. This really is an AMAZING place! :)
-
At $19 a piece for the rears I'll probably go with a substitute on my car and use a pair of adjustable stoppers from under the hood of a donor car. The front cushions I'll use OEM since I have one of Texas's inner finish panels like Tallon showed in his picture and this will give it a nice finished look.
Thanks for sharing the part numbers guys!

I do drawings as I get my hands on the part , I am looking to do the A/C Lid Double DIN frame soon - which on a side note also employs a couple of lever wound springs , which are of the same type as used in the console hinge - if anyone can source them , I have had no luck.
Today I have the dash button frame which holds the trim rings around the switch buttons.
:)

Hi, I meant I am working on the frame and pieces and have one to copy , the springs are something that everyone will require to make the console lid work and a lighter weight version for the A/C lid.
I have what you are taking about... You need it?
-
I need.the hvac cover - mine isn't very well done.
What would yours sell for and would you have details for installing the springs etc?
Thank you!!

This is the Climate control cover and frame so far , got to flatten it out yet... :CSS
So just a couple of pics for now...

+1 thanks string!
