Title: Need recommendations for hood struts

My Diablo doesn't have hood struts and I was looking for recommendations on what to use there. From what car-size-where to get-etc. Also I may need to replace the hood latch release cable. The one there is too short and doesn't go far enough under the dash to mount it correctly.

The struts that I used on my Diablo came off a pickup type aluminum tool box. I will check to see if I can find some kind of part number for you.

If you don't find a number, maybe you can give me the length open and closed of the strut and I'll try and match it up.
