I know that some of you are building your own tail lights for the LP640 cars. I came across this bulb today and thought I'd share it. Inside the original LP640 tail light it's just a reflector that uses a standard bulb. This is a way to simulate the reflector effect with a star shaped LED bulb.

They also have sellers that sell the three arm type like the OEM LP640 look. Not exactly the same but similar. Just search eBay for " spider light 3 arm" or " spider light 5 arm".

Yep... you are right, the three arm version is closer to the LP640 pattern.
Thanks for sharing, this is the first time that I seen this type.

this will work to get the car on the road until you find a pair of OEM lights

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the LP640 only have 2 arrows per side? I've seen them with the arrows pointed towards the center of the car and with the arrows pointed towards the outside. Both have the brake lights on the outside R&L of the arrows with backup lights on the bottom. Who makes the replica red lenses necessary for more cost effective taillight? Thanks.

Nice work IKR. Did you build them to sell? or have a car to mount them in?
