I used IKRs gauge face with aftermarket speedometer and tachometer.  Camaro gauges for fuel, temp, and alternator.  I made photo copies of the gauge face before I installed it if anyone wants one.

Please do Dratts...would love to take a look at those pica. Also did you use EL lights for the back lighting?

We used LEDs for the idiot lights.  I don't know if they will work on the photo copy's.  My photo copy's are pretty nice though and they are on an adhesive backing for mounting direct to the plastic.

Those are real gauge faces in the links I posted Dratts, not the paper copies.

Are'nt those the old style (pre '07) guage faces though? The LP640 guage faces look totally different.

How do you get the gauges to read accurate with the increments on the face?

Notice how they say "Murcielago" guage face and not "LP640" guage face? Those are not the LP640 guage face.

How do you get the gauges to read accurate with the increments on the face?
If you have VDO gauges to work with, the speedo is totally programmable to fit any evenly spaced increments.
The tach is another story, you will be in the ball park.
All the other gauges will require placing the needle onto the spindle when that condition arises. Meaning, you will need external gauges to monitor the conditions then install your needles at that exact position.
I did this on my car and loosely placed the needles so I could take them on and off with ease. Once I was certain they were in the correct position I forced then onto the spindle.

Great info Jim. And Murci-Me for the heads up. I like the Murcielago gauge face better than the LP640.

Is there information somewhere on how to mount the gauges to the gauge cluster template INR sells.

The only pictures I have seen show a couple round gauge backings for the speedo and tach,  Are there details on how to mount and wire these up 'properly' anywhere on this site?  The '85 gauge cluster are metal faced gauges, so I see no way to mount them

Thanks !
Peter

I made sure was gas tank was full, then turned the ignition on. I placed (all the needles) the fuel gauge at the "full" mark, the volt gauge at the 12 mark, the oil pressure at Zero, The Tachometer and Speedometer at Zero, and the Temp at the lowest reading. Everything works fine :)
