Ebay has for sale this inexpensive adapter to locate a fan relay sensor switch or temp gage sender for your cooling system for under $5.00.  Search Ebay for the size of your hoses and put on quality hose clamps.  Resizing and retapping of the switch mounting hole will probably be required and don't forget to ground the adapter for your switch to work.  If your engine setup can control the cooling fans, and can operate your temp gage, then this fitting would not be needed.
