Title: Received my car from RobLp640
Post by: Fatboyslim on July 20, 2014, 01:52:51 AM
I didnt want to speak too soon, i have been on pins and needles for an entire year as i have been reading many sad threads about people being ripped off, a few are my friends. But im happy to say that after 1 year and a total of $53 thousand sent to Roblp i finally received my car today and its on its way home!  :) im feel sorry for those who have had bad experiences, i hope everyone who has deals with Rob gets their product. I feel very fortunate.

Hi i should have explained better, it was very late when i posted this. Yes it is still on its way as we speak, i have pics coming that i will post. The truth is i never had such a horrifying experience in all my life i had to sleep on the sofa with no nookie for over a year now for this crap. I got locked into this deal when i was very new to this hobby a year ago. My 1st mistake was giving a $25k cash deposit, i should have used a credit card. the car is a venta 700 piece of fargon garbage. To eddie the builder of these venta 700 bodies, your bodies fargon suck ok lets face it
ok so dont quit your day job. i will put the body in my backyard and use it for target practice. The chassis has a v8 motor with a 5 speed and i will just reuse it for a nicer body. no glass, no grilles, engine knocks, no lights, nothing. i always think of what i could have spent that $53k on instead of this fargon car. To anyone reading this...DO NOT PAY ANYONE TO BUILD YOU A CAR UNLESS YOU KNOW THEM and do your research here on the forum! ask questions to members. There are a few good builders out there like Jaime from lambo replicas for sale, Mike Vetter in florida, Ron from canada these are just a few that i know are solid builders and will do a nice job, im sure there are more. i will posting pics soon, the car is a total loss..i got a chassis and some nice wheels for $53k at least now i can convince my wife not to leave me  ::toothy

Sorry to hear yet another person burnt. I'm suprised considering rob is a "master mechanic" according to one of his scam web sites. Along with his high rating from the BB on another of his scam web sites.

I forgot to mention about that BBB. They have no listing for Rob whatsoever...

OK , that should be a little more sleep for you, I hope you are not thinking I'm the Eddie that build/sold that garbage. 53 Ginos and car is not complete to take your love for a spin?? Please don't be a shame to post your investment when it comes to your door. BTW I lost $$ too as deposit,( different builder) but recovered all with a little help from my friends ;) .

@eddie, i know your not the same eddie that built the venta 700 garbage, your well respected here. If you go to his youtube channel you will see a new video labeled aventador 700, the 1st car there is mine. He shows many pics of it. No work has been done to it at all, just waiting a whole year and paying for nothing. Im grateful for at least getting something back. My advice to anyone looking to build a car is simply DONT. Just buy a car thats already been built and modify it if you want to your taste. You will lose nothing if you buy a car thats already built.

If you build it how can you lose? That's what most of us are doing. Getting someone to build it is a different story.
Think you have it backwards.

I just watched that video, 'Aventador 700'. That body looks better than the one I got from naerc 10 years ago. All these cars need bondo work, it's a fact of life.

Lamboclone.com: A forum of gearheads that want to "build" a cool looking replica of a world reknown sportscar.  If we knew what was entailed in this hobby of ours, we would probably go hide in a cave BUT, we love to build.  The dream and results permeate our being.  We are obsessed with the challenge.  Maybe we don't have all of the skills necessary but together we can find a supplier or learn the skills to do it.  Costly? Yes.  In depth research: an absolute necessity.  Patience: A must and plenty of it.  A group of guys and gals that will drive half way across this great nation of ours just to talk one on one with each other.  Grasp the knowledge that is accumulated in this forum and you should do all right.

I guess rob read a new book....  Funny how the guy is green screened and the iPad is double green screened ... And oddly enough never mentions the name of the business or the products.... But call the number below or go to the website....

I think we all need 5 star websites..... You know, cause when everyone is special... Then no one is... ::K

I can create a video stating that I hit the home run that won the 2011 World Series, Hit the jump shot to win the NBA Championship, and then coached the Chicago Bears special teams that year. If I threw out enough cash I could even find some A-Hole that would swear to it all too. It certainly doesn't make it so. Everybody knows that I never coached in the NFL.  ::tongue

I also noticed that book was only $1. I don't want to knock discount advice by any means. However, the BEST and ONLY way to really protect your reputation online is to do the right thing by your customers and friends offline.

I hope you read this Rob and takes it to heart. I don't know you and you don't know me but here is my advice for whatever it is worth to you: Treat others as you would have them treat you. Period.

The sad reality is that guys like me are so pathetically consumed and obsessed with the idea that we can own and drive a replica car that is exactly like the real lamborghini for only a fraction of the price. Instead of patiently looking at all the options like buying a car already completed or starting a build of our own. I almost sent super replicas $20k deposit till i read their invoice wich seemed to good to be true. I did do some research and found that rob had so many videos and he seems so overconfident / arrogant in them that i thought this guy must be legit cause hes built so many cars and is so confident that i want this guy. I even found out later that he built a car for Chris (No Bull) and that pretty much sealed the deal for me. A year ago i didnt really see too much negative talk about robslp there was few but i figured most all businesses get a few unhappy customers every now and then you cant please everyone. But i was wayyyy wrong.. i should have been more patient and smarter by using a credit card for payments that way im protected. But like most others i was in "consumed retard mode" and i didnt, i used cash instead. After rob cashed my $25k deposit check i knew i was locked in at that point and no turning back. if i stop payments he will keep my car and my money, if i try to threaten him or go against him in any way he will keep everything, so the best solution is to just keep making the payments and be nice and then hope to hell lthat you get something back in the end. the key is be nice not threatening, you always get more bees with honey. i soon after purchased a G28 that was trashed and started rebuilding it and making friends and contacts along the way. I am now proud to say that im a "beginner builder" and i have put in over 1000 hours so far on the murci in these pics. I did learn my lesson with rob and will never forget this experience i dont wish this on anyone it flat out sucks! but its over now. Patience and research is the key to this. To me, Roblp is the same as super replicas only difference is he will actually answer the phone and talk to you. He knows you cannot touch him and its very far for anyone to go see him. As long as he is allowed to be a member of these forums and advertise on youtube and ebay the scam will continue. My wish / suggestion is to have a zero tolerance policy and have him banned  based upon soo many, as in soooo many victims he has chewed up and spit out. And the list keeps growing daily. We wont be able to stop him completely but we can do our part to keep him out of a respected forum of builders. Heres some pics of the car im working on now wich im rebuilding completely, im very proud of it and im getting better each day. thanks to all you senior members i read your threads all the time and it helps big time!  ::beers

To keep things straight, Rob didn't build me a car but rather I bought his first project after I seen it on EBay for sale.  Since then I've changed most everything that I bought from Rob and not much of that original build is left anymore.

Thanks,

Chris

Fatboyslim,

Sorry to here about the problems you've had, and glad to see it didn't keep you from your dream! That is a beautiful job you have been doing on that build of yours! Please do the rest of the community a favor and start a build thread with your progression from the start if possible! It will help all of us along with yourself! Keep up with the great work!!!  ::beers

You can pay $5 on fiver for someone to record themselves saying you're product is good so it certainly doesn't take someone with $$ to pull off this kind of stuff. What's funny is he probably didn't think of doing that because it probably would have turned out more believable.

Anyway, the murcie you are working looks great, you put a lot of effort in to it. Thank god you are able to recover from such a loss and keep building. I guess I'm very cautious because this wouldn't nearly be the case for me.

Thanks tallon for that, im going keep at it, Its a hell of alot of fun. So heres the pics of the $53 thousand dollar car that RobLp "master builder" completely ripped me off on. Thanks alot Rob! i want you to know my wife is still crying i hope your happy! Enjoy my money, i hope you had fun with it. What comes around goes around. When my brother picked up the car the place looked like a junkyard and all the losers hanging around were all tweaked out on meth. I think after the 1st 2 or 3 people he ripped off he realized that no one can do anything about it so he kept going and evolving into what he is today. I worked so dam hard for that money! countless hours in the sun repairing air conditioners thinking to myself all day that im going to have this super cool car soon. Boy was i wrong. can a person be banned from here? It wont be able to stop him or get anyones money back, but it can certainly help others that may be thinking of using him. It will take a huge bite out of crime. Thank you for your consideration, im sure many many people will appreciate doing that.  Im done peace brothers ::salute

Why have any of you that have been ripped off NOT have "visited" this tool? Lawsuits and internet posts seem to not work. A nice "face to Face Sit down" can work wonders.

Actually Ive flown out to see him twice with my wife and baby, then drove 2000 miles from spokane washington out to see him a third time. Actually sat him down in the hotel lobby and told him my concerns, he swore to me that he wouldnt rip me off. A Total of 3 times i have been there. Fourth and last trip to pick up the car i had to work so i sent my brother. And actually your right about law suits, they wont work because after you spent $10-15k on a lawyers fees and lets say you win, no one can enforce a judgement. Rob hides all his assets and a judgement is only as good as the paper is written on. On the other hand, enternet posts and word of mouth DO work, they help other potential buyers to know what hes like, i guarantee that now after all this that no one currently in this forum will send him their money. From what i can see, he needs to change his career to a business of selling bullet proof vests.  :)

Just wanted to show everyone pics of one of very few  real "master builders". These pics are from my  road trip to see mike vetter in florida. Mike Vetter specializes in bughatti veyrons and ferrari enzos but he will build you a lambo if you like. The red/blk veyron is bad azz, it sells for $80k, the enzo sold for $250k. If anyone is looking for a builder hes wayyy different from Robslp640. Lets just say the dude can build.. He is so honest that he has been holding a bughatti veyron for a guy that paid a deposit 5 years ago then disappeared and he wont sell it to anyone until he has heard back from the guy and its been 5 years! wow.  The girls in the pic are locals i met them just walking down the beach, they are so friendly there. After this i started carrying my son with me everwhere. just In case you couldnt tell, im the guy who looks like tom cruise  :LL:

Is it just me or do the bughatti veyrons look like the nissan 350z??  ::scratch. Still very impressive in person. He uses a newer GTO chassis to make them. The grey one you see belongs to an NBA player who just sent it in to get headlamps replaced. The enzo he used an actual ferrari 430 chassis and motor, very cool. I actually couldnt tell the difference from the replica enzo or the real one.

Yes your right they are a bit off, he even hinted to that himself. He uses Porsche boxters as the donor  ::scratch. As far as i know he stopped producing them and i put a  deposit on his lambo molds. he isnt into lambos much anymore. Not sure why. I do know theres a huge market for the bughattis right now. He has lots of famous people ordering from him. what can you see is the most obvious difference with his lambo bodies? im buying the molds from him would be nice to make the right corrections.

The Boxster is probably the best donor if you want something that is already mid-engine and you just want to do a stretch. They have exceptional handling, stiff chassis as they are convertibles and stock engines up to ~300 HP. It is far superior in every way to a Fiero or even an MR2 except for the cost factor.

That makes sense why they use the boxter, i guess if they were cheaper more builders would use them? Tallon your pic looks very nice of the murci, does it look not too accurate? I cant tell it looks kinda like a G24?
Title: Re: Received my car from RobLp640
Post by: Tallon on July 24, 2014, 12:30:21 PM
The g24 was made to look like the original murcie but vetter's was supposed to be an lp640 with the updated bumpers and rockers. To my knowledge I don't think Mike based his off another kit (could be wrong.) Sorry I can't pick a main difference, to me it's the whole thing I'd hate to say. I think the TriangleG G28 was a new and improved body to replace these kits. So basically what you're trying to do has already been done, that's why Rob and others sell g28's and not older kits.

From the pic given it seems the front bumber is more angular than actual, plus the mirrors are sticking up at 10 and 2 o clock (which annoys me). Other than that it looks good. I'm sure there are other differences, but i'm just telling you what i see from this pic.

As a Boxster builder I almost got offended there for a second! Mike is a great guy and very knowledgable and he made several of these kits completed. I can't seem to find the pics but some if them are around here on the clone. The biggest hurdle with a Boxster is the dash and door area need to be cut down and built/ braced back. All the Boxster builds that I've seen didn't do this. His body was built around those areas and that's where the oddness starts. Bigpines put it well, almost exactly what my reasoning was for going that route, but I searched until I found my car for right at 5k. Not sure I would try to re-do that body. Too much time and money to get that to be able to compete with a G28. Just my thoughts.  ::beers
