Title: ac line recovery
Post by: Tallon on August 27, 2012, 01:58:10 PM
This might be a dumb question but how can I remove the refrigerant out of a car that can't be driven to a shop and without spending a lot of money for the machine and tank?

Do you want to save it? If you do want to save you have no options but to vacuum it out into a tank.
If you DON'T want to save it then you can add to global warming by releasing it into our atmosphere.

Loosen the line and let it out, just dont take it all the way off until all the all the freon is out ::beers, its just try to keep moisture out of the compressor, that will kill it further down the line so clamp it off if you can ::thumbup
