You are going to have to give us a little more information.
What tank are you using?
Is it a factory tank?
Ia it a custom made tank?
Is it a fuel cell tank?
You should check the VDO web site.  They have sending units and gauges.

Factory tank I jest look at the. Vdo an I think I can make it work
