Title: Venta R boat
Post by: INSPIREcomposite (BANNED) on February 09, 2015, 06:44:44 PM
Hello guys. There was another thread about a boat that was pretty interesting and it made me want to design one. Ive been working on it and its mostly done minus the hull but i want to show you guys anyway and get some feed back. Im actually moving into a larger shop this week so ill have the space to do projects like this.

I like it so far. I would add length to the bow. What are you planning for the over all length?

its about 18 foot. i did stretch the front alittle bit but ill probably do some more. I noticed that boats do have a real long bow, is there a reason for this in performance?

First off, I'm not a boat expert. I do know that a larger boat allowes for use in rougher water conditions. There are tons of 16' to 20' boats here on the local rivers (Mississippi & Illinois), but you wouldn't want to take them in the ocean unless you have a really good insurance plan and life jacket lol. Personally I'd make it 32' or maybe even a little bigger. You can still trailer it with a normal truck and it can still be ocean worthy. Purple is a boat guy, hopefully he chimes in here...

I love this concept and although would love to do this to my old boat I think Schulzea is right. Mostly cause an exotic on anything smaller then 24' might look a little goofy! I could be wrong though, properly proportioned on a 21 footer might not look bad! If I was to do one of these I'd be looking for an older Cigarette boat with a Cuddie, performance and looks! The beauty of doing something like this is it just has to resemble the car (key features) as it is not necessarily a replica! You can stretch this or that to fit whatever hull you want! I do think you need to take this thread over to Lamboats.com and see what they think!!! Awesome stuff by the way!!!  ::headbang

I'm glad someone registered it. It's a great name. I was thinking about it myself but figured I already have too many domains I am not using. ;)

stretched the front some and made the hull. i dont have any technical knowledge about designing boats, im just going off of "form follows function" rule.
