I go out to the garage and start working on my Lambo. About an hour in I lose all motivation, probably because I keep thinking ahead of all the stuff I still need to do. I'm doing pretty good on it when I'm out there but I want thing done already. Interior will go fairly fast (90% of it was already bolted in), so it just needs minor touch ups and filling in. Doors are almost done (FINALLY!) and I'm actually looking forward to doing the bodywork and painting it. Then the final touch ups and I should finally be able to enjoy all my hard work. BUT, I just can't seem to muster up the motivation to stay out there and finish one thing at a time. Any ideas? Maybe I should have gone to Carlisle this year. Haha ::beers
With that in mind, please post up the latest pics of your car. Maybe it'll help us all get motivated and if anything, share some success stories and proudly represent what we put our time and hard work into. Thanks! Here's 2 of my latest...

Don't think about everything that's left to do. Just think about the next thing that you can do in a night and set a goal to complete that. Reward yourself when you complete the goal ::beers, this usually works for me.

Hi.
I understand you can only see the work you have left, but try to see all you have already have done and be proud of that :)
A real car builder will never be total finnish with his/hers project and as nickmkk say follow the small step forward and take your time to do it properly.
so far it seems you have already done a good work ::salute

Thumper: Take off working on your Diablo for two weeks. Don't look at any of the forums. Don't look at any of the pictures that you have taken of your build in progress. Don't visit your garage, either. Take up underwater basket weaving classes. Start pilate classes with 20 overweight women who sweat a lot. Go to Walmart and push a cart around for 4 hours and listen to the kids screaming "I want that toy". Then get up one morning, put on your work duds, and head back to the hobby that you have missed! ::bounce :LL: ::thumbup :CSS ::headbang :drool ::LAMBO

I favor under water ping pong myself but 01Lambierio is right, I'll ad that if you just do 1 thing a day no matter how small after you take a break you will get there, inch by inch anything's a cinch.

Well dang CCIE! Haha
Took today off work so I can focus on doing one little thing at a time. Might just be burned out from work but I drove it around the block, did a few good burnouts, and now I'm back at it! Sometimes it just gets overwhelming I guess. Thanks everyone!

Thumper, you have a great car there and if it's already running and driving you are further along than many of us. I know I wish mine was at that stage right now, keep doing little things like other people suggest and soon you will be done! Good luck man.

I never built mine so my motivation comes from what you get to do after its built and sharing it with a whole new group outside the garage!

Even a few guys will call you to keep you on point

you want to be like the 90% of the builders that give up and quit or the 10% that finishes their builds? Believe it or not some day there will come a time when all you gotta due is wash and drive it.

That's nice!!! I started this thing and I'm finishing it. I'm not giving up on my favorite car. Just some days it seems very overwhelming and I find it hard to go out there and keep plugging away. But I got 'r running again today and that helped. I know I'm not the only one who thinks to himself, why did I ever take on such a project in the first place? Haha. But it'll be done soon. Going to hit it hard these next few weeks and see how far I can get. ::beers
