The pod shells only cost $25 though, hardly worth going through all the time, material and trouble to make one. Its the pod insert that costs the money ($110), and is the most amount of work to make. Is your dash OEM or OEM modified (G40)?

Are you talking OEM? Or?

This is the cheapest I could find...

Yes, mine are $25 and fit the G28/G40 modified (changed overall width) OEM dashes. When those dashes were first made, everything stayed OEM shape and size except for the overall width, which was changed to fit those kits. As far as the area where the pod is mounted, that is the same as OEM.
You will also need the insert (also called "shark mouth") to mount your guage face and trim the opening properly though, unless you are going to make your own.

The first picture in IKR's post is the G24 and original G28 dash. Is that the one you have, or is it the second generation G28/G40 dash?
