Wow!!  And with a battery range of 15.5 miles!  So if you are running in the 24hrs of LeMans and you overrun your pit, you can't back up??  Pit stops may run a little long while the battery gets a recharge.

Yes, according to the article, the transmission does not have reverse but reverse is handled by the front motors.
