Title: NAERC and Chassisworks? Who has driven these?

So after doing my homework, I think it would be just bout the same price to build a custom chassis as it would be to stretch my Fiero, swap in 3800SC with 6spd tranny, suspension blah blah blah. so who has driven either of these chassis? Handling characteristics? Issues? Which one would work for a Mercy or Reventon?

Price of plans for NAERC are not an issue. I have access to a set from my friend who purchased but never built.

Cw is just a basic incomplete chassis that would work for any mid-engine car, I've never heard anyone comment on how it drives since not many projects get completed but I've seen one video of someone driving one on youtube.

A lot of the steel added on is not in the plans so you build it to the way you need it
you adjust the rear suspension to where you need it for your wheel base

VF I seen that chassis. I dunno tho. Seems like its too small. Tallon, yea the Mercy and Reventon are the same wheel base, and the NAERC plans are for Diablo so Id only need 1/2 inch IIRC change in suspension. I am really leaning towards NAERC.

I have built two naerc chassis'. They handle and perform great after a few modifications.

that aluminum chassis looks good , how about if you need  add some welding to it,you have to have differenmt gear and know how. as someone here asked.

No welding is allowed on the chassis. You need to bolt on your body mounts. We have design it with a lot of flat surface and easy access for body, engine mounts.
