Title: Which Transmission / Transaxle has Paddle Shift + automatic mode
Post by: Transcend on April 13, 2013, 12:32:25 AM: Which transmission should I get if I wanted to pair it with an LS7 Engine, and I want it to have Paddle Shifters, and +/- On the shift knob (like the scion fr-s)

I can set you up with an Audi automatic that can be shifted with a paddle shift or if you want a manual transmission you will need to go with a sequential shift like something from Mendeola.

The Audi Auto Matic how much is that ?

Somewhere around $5000 for the transmission and controller. I will have to check with my transmission guy for a firm price. The adapter kit will be an additional $1400.

The transmission is the ZF 5HP19 5 speed automatic. I am not sure which model of Audi used it or the years.

I can get a controller for it. They are around $1000.

Transcend look for the trans from fwd cars not quattro or AWD
I bought mine on ebay I can't remember how much maybe around 600, not as much as the ones on that site. then again the awd's probably cost more not sure. I know my audi's awd trans was huge, would never fit in a mid-engine chassis.

I don't know if that is the one or not. My transmission and clutch guy said he could supply one and I am just going on what he said.
