Location ?

Newbie to the lambo forum. Built Fcars in the past and were in those groups. Acquired a superb 1999 Diablo VT build that has a V12 engine and porsche 6 speed transaxle. Got it on fleabay under replicars to test the waters but will probably end up finishing it myself since it is so close to being completed. Here's the description of it below off the ad. Long read as the prior owner completed so many small details that takes building a kit to another level.



1999 Diablo VT Clone.  Just joined the lambo forum as I've built Fcars in the past and was in those groups. Recently came across a superb diablo that someone spent countless hours and funds building and got to the end and life changing events happened and this fine vehicle came into my care.  Based on a 1994 BMW 750IL with a V12 that came factory that year. The frame is a custom naerc chasis with BMW powerplant and 6 speed porsche transaxle. I got it listed on fleabay to test the waters but more than likely I will finish the build as it is so close to being complete.
Got 40 pictures on there. Got more but that was the limit.


Update:  Also Included is an older HP EliteBook 8460P and docking station computer that comes with Factory BMW software installed  to check codes and perform diagnostics and tuning to the engine. Also included is legally purchased software and a manual with instructions on how to use the software, software to program BMW keys and other useful info.



1999 Diablo Vt Clone

This this the creme de la creme of replicars.This car is built on a NAERC chasis using a pontiac fiero modified rear strut tower only in order to title the car . Everything else about the car is specialty constructed.

Engine
Oh! My. This car has the proper V12, 5.4 liter engine installed and running. The engine and all electronics and seat hardware was sourced from a 1999 BMW 750IL which came with a V12 that year. 326 HP that originally powered the 4600 lb BMW is suddenly placed in a 3100 lb  replica and the speed and performance is magnified. Prior builder was "OCD" as every wire was labeled before removing from the donor car. All labeling is still on the wires. Engine electrics power up.

Transmission
 Six speed plus reverse powers this mighty beast down the road. Specially built cradle holds the transaxle and tranfers power to the heavy duty drive axles. Porsche getrag transaxle was rebuilt prior to installation. Gear shifter is permantely mounted and operational.Front and Rear Suspension All custom and adjustable shocks for ride height. Car sits low-low-low but height can be raised. Spring and shocks are factory powder coated for a marvelous look.

Wheel and Tires
 Rear Nitto tires 315/35ZR17
 Front Nitto tires 235/45ZR17
 Tires have new tread and have never been driven on.


Brake Calipers are Brembo with new Pads.


Windshield wiper motor and brackentry is installed and operational. Only needs wiper arm and blades for completion.

Front hood holds HVAC blower and windshield wiper reservoir which are installed and operational. Sorry, no storage space for groceries.

Doors
 Doors are hinged and mounted and lock with a key. windows are installed with electric motors and installed in tracks. Some track weatherstripping is installed and the rest is included.

Rear Decklid
This decklid holds the dual rear batteries with one primarily for the starter and the other for the electronics. Below the batteries are the dual L/R twin radiators for engine cooling. Car has one radiator in front and two in the rear.

Engine Decklid
 This decklid covers the massive V12, 5.4 liter engine arranged longitudinally connected to the six speed porsche transaxle.This replica is built to mimic the original to an extreme degree. No expense was spared. the best of the best was used. Wiring is in looms. Hoses are protected from puntures. Both front and rear bumpers have low speed crash supports integrated just as original bumpers. Rarely if ever see this in a replica.

Headlights
 Headlights and turn signals and brake lights are installed and functional. The turn signals for the sides of the front and rear bumpers are not installed yet. The front fog lights are not installed but are included.

Mirrors
 The Left/Right door electric rearview mirrors are included and the breakaway feature is completed on the drivers mirror and still needs to be done on the passenger mirror. The mirror glass is cut and included. The interior rearview mirror is included.

Badging
 All badging is included and original Lamborghini.


Seating
 Seating is electric with tilt. Car is built with a flat floor. The underbody underneath the car from the front to the rear firewall is paneled to give the smooth aerodynamic effect for airflow. The car sticks to the road. Steering has tilt up/down and cruise, radio functions on the steering wheel. Steering is electric assist with a potentiometer to increase stiffness or ease in the steering feel. Steering wheel is custom modified with cruise control and  turn signal function added onto the wheel. Replica is well made and you would be hard pressed to find one similar.

Only the fine details need to be completed now.

 Things Needed to Completed:
 1. Install windshield, L/R door glass, quarter glass. Glass in pics is cracked and is being used for fitment. Additionally glass is new in original packaging and included. Interior rear glass is already permantely installed.
2. Fabricate left side driver interior door panel. Passenger side door panel is included. Could be used as a template.
3.Fabricate interior lower door sill panels and rear panel behind the seats.
4. Upholstery
5. Inside passenger side seat tracks
6. Install solenoids for fuel door and rear hood. (solenoids included)
7. Install front fog lights (included)
8. Hook up coolant pipe to rear radiators (included)
9. Bodywork (all door gaps and hood gaps are uniform. Edges where windshield meets body has to be tapered to blend together.10. Finalize bodywork, Prime and Paint
