Metal Contach Build
« Reply #1 on: June 28, 2013, 02:33:54 AM »
Got a countach kit off a member here and will be using it as a bodybuck to hand shape the body panels in 18-20 gauge mild steel. 3003 aluminum for the rear decks and front hood. Looks fairly straightforward, I expect it will take approx. 2 weeks solid to make the basic shell. The only challenge I see is making the 5000S wheel arches in metal, they are a reverse curve and that can be tricky, if that fails fiberglass will work just fine.
