Thanks usmc_butler & am33r $88.00 / $12.00 usps shipping is not bad ,to at least own a pair of custom smoked curved lens cover until you find a good deal on a $3000.00 set of originals. We have 10 pair of smoked lens covers ready to ship !!  they could go out tomorrow evening ,these are over sized and require trimming ,some people make their own tail light box to go behind them ,if you ask i can trim them down to fit exact over our rear box housing.

CNC cut .... A/C .. Radio surround..

Great analysis IKR and the tail light collection should make a good unit - I recommended it to someone before and would have done it myself but I found 2 tail lights for $1000 total 2 months ago so I bought them.

You have been of great help on the forums.. Much needed - thanks again.

Building an "exotic toy" on an MR2 is a wonderful and simple journey if one researches enough. I could do it now in half the time and you're right one should make sure the vehicle drives fine after every partial stage build.

I see cars under construction driving all over the place. They need some sanding and some body work & some paint but still on the road (: on the day 100 of my build I want to drive it around and enjoy the remaining few weeks of the summer then I'll take it into my garage & finalize the body work and make it all-season perfect car. That's not even build process it's just body work like any other car

Think of using an MR2 on a build of urs and lemme know if you need help beyond what my build shows - I try to convey the work concepts but I don't always provide specs

you welcome

most of us hate cutting corners ,sometime it better to finish and stay under budget ....drive the car , enjoy the fruits of your labor, then go back and change a few items ,to suit your taste , getting burnt out because you see no end will make you sell it or plant it in the garage , that,s why i tell people get the chassis done ..... running, stretched , frame support finished & rigid ....minimum or no flex .....the latest MR2 THREAD from introduction to inception = stretched and driving again .... 5 -6 weeks , Great Job !!  Get your chassis stretched and moving under it,s own power - mobile- ...then rims and tires & wide track suspension & or adapters ,ride height adjusted. then go after the body kit ....if your drive train is in this condition you could sell it and get every dime back , if you can put the key in it and drive away .

Have you found the star shaped lights in different diameters? I want to use them also but I can't find anywhere that lists dimensions...

I haven't, I'll check around to see what I can find out.  Worst case if the are too big maybe you can black out some of the LED's.

I'm probably just use the original lights from whatever donor car I get and modify them to work with the fiberglass buckets.  Not completely sure yet on how to do it.  I do want to get the LED's that are in a star shape, don't know if you have seen those?
