Still listed at $2,000 on EBay however if you search the NRG part number - NRG-CARB-A690 you can find them at other places for around $600 (still worth every cent in my opinion).

Yep, I figured that I got in on a really good deal at $260 and wondered if it was a pricing mistake that they honored.  I honestly would've been a buyer even at $400 and that's why I passed the information onto everyone here.  There are several 670 style spoilers out there now in the $2,500 - $6,000 range but finding this styling in carbon for under $500 was an awesome buy in my opinion and I can live with the differences.  :)

It was still just under $400 when I looked a couple days ago.

Sweet, thanks for the measurement!  I've noticed they do that a lot with the products they sell.  Eventually they will bring it down to the original price.  When I was buying my seats they did the same thing, one day they were $229.00 and the next $1,500.00

My mistake.. yes it's 69" and I'll correct that in my first post.

WOW!  I paid $260 shipped for mine (Buy It Now) and then the price jumped up to just under $400 and now they are at $2000!

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&_trksid=p2047675.l2564&rt=nc&item=350840721579

I suppose these guys are following the rules of supply and demand and the auction shows that they've sold 11 now.  As long as people are buying them at the higher prices, they'll continue to move the price up.

Look around because I'm sure there are others out there selling this exact same spoiler for under or around the $400 price range.

Hey Chris, that spoiler looks good.  I have actually been looking into some of those for a while but couldn’t decide on the proper length for them.
Could you just confirm that your spoiler is 59.5”?  The one in the link you provided is 69” and costs $1,999.99 :o

Thanks bro...

I missed this thread before. The spoiler looks really close. Does it feel like a pretty solid part?

A very solid part.  It's reinforced with material other than carbon fiber because it's much heavier than a part made 100% from carbon fiber would be.  There are no seams and the carbon goes completely around the wing and only the ends are exposed.  It comes with two carbon fiber side panels that bolt onto the ends of the spoiler.  The brackets that ship with it are some type of black plastic.

Here are some pictures of the spoiler sitting on top of my car.  Excuse the messy shop, I'm in the process of moving to my new shop this month.   ::toothy

The new LP670 style brackets will lift the spoiler up about 9 - 12 inches and back over the rear of the car like a LP670 spoiler.  Some of the pictures show the quality of the carbon fiber finish which isn't bad for a spoiler of this size under $400.

The last two pictures show the space differences of the brackets mounted on the spoiler and the inside rear edges of the quarter  panels.  A couple spacers on the outside of each spoiler bracket should allow the new brackets to line up well.

My spoiler isn't going to be an exact copy of the LP670 spoiler but I think it'll give it that style and stand out while being a little different.

Here are some pictures of a LP670 spoiler and how it attaches to the car.  I'm not modifying my rear muffler cover just to mount the spoiler so I'll figure out a way to reinforce the backside of the quarters where they meet the muffler panel and just attach to them.

Murcie / LP640 Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler

Here is some information on the rear spoiler I bought for my LP640 roadster.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350840721579?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

It's 69" inches wide which puts it at the very edges of the rear of the car without actually overlapping the quarter panels.  It appears to be real carbon fiber but combined with plastic or fiberglass material in places (probably to save on construction costs).

The spoiler comes with a couple different brackets but I think I'm going to have some LP670 brackets made so it mounts up to the inner sides of the quarters where the muffler panel meets the quarters.  The factory mounting brackets on the spoiler are about 2" inward on either side from where the LP670 brackets will meet and I'll use plastic blocks on either side of the spoiler so everything matches up.  You can bolt on the carbon fiber sides on the ends of the spoiler (I am) or make a finish plates and bolt them on instead.

More pictures of the spoiler and it sitting on my car to follow.
