solrac:
I am sure if u just google this u can find good threads but we are missing one here so here is mine..  :)
first i had to decide if i wanted to go with a 5" sleeve and use the stock perch or go with a 7" and cut it off. i decided to cut off the perch so it can look better and i guess it is safer. then it was between the 12" springs or 10" springs. i went with 10" cus i can drop it lower with them .
i got a really nice deal for some afcoils. 10" 425lbs. And the sleeves i got them from speedwaymotors.com
The struts i got from autorock.com. i spend around $140 for everything.

first off get the new one and grind off the perch.

be carefull not to cut the strut it self. once its cut just hit it out with a hammer..

then just grind off the bottom tab.

Here is a pic with two side by side. the stock one and then the way it is going to be.

Once u have it all nice and smooth u put it some Orings and slide in the sleeve.

then the spring.

I bought this nice poly insulators for the spring.

here is the old strut apart.

the this thing.. lol idunno what is called but here it is.

as u can from the pic u can see that thing has a little lip in the middle. it wasnt sitting right so i grind it off.
this is how it was left at the end.

and now here is it on the spring.

now the top hat

The end.

I have no idea how its going to feel for a long time. lol but at least i am making some progresss on my build.
