Yes, I know they are adjustable, but the problem is length.  I can move the mount inside the door but was hoping to avoid that.  I have a couple more options.  I'll let you know.  Thanks.

Tallon:
They're adjustable because you can let the gas out until it's the right pressure for your door :\

The struts you have all adjustable to whatever you want. How hard would it be to install a new bracket inside the door to give you the same opening?

Hey guys, I got the McMaster's in but they are too strong and too short.  My old ones are 39 1/4".  I have no idea the strength.  The McMasters I ordered....adjustable pressure 36" are too short.  Doors won't open enough and they are impossible to close (240# of pressure).  I know we can release the pressure but they are too short anyway.  They have some 500# pressure ones that are 40", but I don't want to pay $200 each.  I have contacted Lift Support Technologies in Candada (http://www.lstechnologies.ca/) and they say they can get me whatever I want.  I am awaiting their suggesion.  I sent them pictures of the current ones on my car and Nolen was very knowledgeable about everything.  I will keep you posted.

Any suggestion on pressure rating?  240# is way too much.  I am thinking 100 or 150#.  Thanks.

Thank you so much.  I ordered a pair with eyelets.  They are 3" shorter, but hopefully will work.  Actually if you raise all the way up my doors actually hit so the 3" short may be just right.  My extended length now is 39 1/4" and these are a little over 36" and 240#.  They had some that were over 38" but were 500#.  I did order the adjustable ones but wasn't ordering the regulator kit for $415.  I'll let you know.  Thanks for the link.
