I am also in the market for a set of shocks and springs. What should i get? I want to run rubber bushing instead of spherical beaings for a better ride and less noise.

what bushing are you using in your a arms? I was getting ready to fire up my cnc lathe to make a set out of rubber like the plans call for.

Glad My pics helped you RStaggs!  I've looked at several but I am waiting until I have my body fully mounted and the suspension all correct before I commit to buying them.  At $200.00 a pop I don't want to buy the wrong ones LOL.

These are the coilovers I've been looking at:

Between 250-300 hrs. First time building one. Thats the whole chassis, A arms, and gas tank. I also cut and broke all the sheet metal pieces myself, so that added time. Plus I have really taken my time with it for quality purposes (could have done it faster). The most time consuming part is cutting all the tube steel.

Rick,
Terrific job so far on the build!  May I ask how many man hours it took to get the chassis to this point?

autopro, Just started looking into coilovers. Don`t really know what ones to get. Any suggestions? Read your posts in the past, and all your pics help a lot with my build. Thanks ::thumbup

diablogod6.0, Im looking at getting one of Marcelo Marinelli (MMBRAZIL) kits from Brizil (hopefully in the spring). His kits fit the NAERC chassis with no mods. I have read also the same thing as you about the D&R kits. Jim Dinner (jdinner) built a D&R on NAERC chassis. He would be the one to ask about the modifications needed.

Looks very nice! I started buiding my chassis this summer. Im also doing a 6.0.

A few questions for you....

-Where are you going to get the 6.0 body from (I need one aswell)?
-Have you found a decent price on some 6.0 wheels yet?

Im trying to figure out where to get a body from. Ive read that although you can still get the D&R bodies modification of the chassis needs to be done to get it to fit.

I will be using my 416 LS1 stroker engine with twin turbos and possibly a griffin transaxle as soon as they are available and durability tested. Im going to 700-800 HP. Im running this engine in my C5 vette now and making 900 HP with a kenne bell supercharger.

You're doing a great job on the chassis, it looks like it will be ready to roll soon.   Do you know what  coilovers you will be using?

Welcome Rick! ::wave

That chassis looks amazing! :drool Makes me want to get going on mine.
If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

Hey, Guys

Just starting my first build. Wanted to introduce myself. The names Rick, and I live in southern Oregon. Building a Diablo 6.0, on a NAERC Chassis, w/ a BMW M70 V12. Definitely will be asking questions, and look forward to your guys knowledge and input.

Hears a few notable pics from my project, and a link to a video.
