Finally finished the  Billet Aluminum 670 Style Wing Stand / Legs


we are not doing our 670 style rear bumper ,we had some issue so we scrapped it , until next year when we get the other components from overseas to finish it . we do not have the cross pieces.

the water jet company made the first cut to day on the machine ,they did not radius the slots , they will modify the ends so they are round on the 2 slot openings

6160 aluminum with a foot on the bottom

BOTH ...  visual reasons & weight reduction ,the design is similar to other wings of high cost an caliper ,

Step 1.  have the cad work done
Step 2.  get the structural design and what size material should be used  ,right now it,s specked out to be power coated .25 / 1/4" or 3/8" Aluminum plate ,with a weld on top mount to inside and a bottom foot ,that,s in the picture
Step 3.  cut and make them .... THE SLOTTED WHOLES ARE ROUND ON THE ENDS ,me and my exact o knife was not good enough to get those correct

Please give me your idea,s

the one that is close to this design is running around Japan

if i may...
are the holes in the mount for visual reasons or to reduce weight?
when i look at them i am seeing structural issues, and yes i am aware it is for a wing but in saying that, the holes are placed in such a way that will cause a weakness in the structure.
Maybe i am looking into it too deep, but i dont want you to go to all the effort and investment to have something that could potentially fracture.

IKR STYLE 670 REAR WING with Aluminum Pedestals

This is the template we will take to the water jet cnc cutter Wed ,he will use this to transfer the shape, whole sizes and thickness to the .25" Aluminum this will mount flat to the trunk
