Hey T, yes there is a aerosol sprayer you can buy and add your choice of chemicals, I have seen those at home depot, and then you got to get the PVA and for where I live it's not local to go and buy, so I would have to order some and most sell in large jugs and I was like nahh! I only have a few small mold jobs to do and it's not worth all the hassel, but the hair spray is awesome for small jobs.

Nice that it can be cleaned up without chemicals. Plus you can do your hair if someone's coming to the shop. Of course if you have hair... Guess I will just keep using regular mold release lol

Hair Spray for Mold release??

Hi Guys, I came across a article about hair spray for mold release, I thought wow ok!  well since I don't have a compressor and a sprayer which is needed to spray PVA and I could not seem to find it in a spray can, I decided to give this hair spray thing a try so I went to my local grocery store and got a can of 3 dollar extra hold number 5 tressemm'e and gave it a try with a parts mold that I made, I gave it 3 coats with dry time of 20 mins in between, I laid my gelcoat and let that cure then laid my glass and let that cure and WOW it actually worked great!! my mold released perfectly!! you just wash away the residue film with soap and water and you are done!!

I just had to share! Happy building! ::beers
