A popular vehicle for kit-car manufacturers, the Pontiac Fiero was sold from 1984 to 1988. At the time, the Fiero was a big deal for the North American market because it was a two-seater with a mid-mounted engine. It may not look the part, but this small and nimble car was actually one of the safest cars when it came to collision testing. In fact, only Volvo ranked higher at the time.
