I put my condenser in behind the side scoop just in back of firewall. Angled to get the most flow. Do not recall size of fan. It was as large as my condenser and it was a puller mounted on back side of condenser

Thanks, that is similar to what I'm thinking but I'm going to put mine in the drivers side rocker panel scoop where the oil cooler would normally go.  I figure someone must have tried this by now but if not I'll be the guinea pig.  we'll know by next summer if it stays cool, thanks again for the info.

Quote from WRSportscars on KC:  "If we do rear mounted radiators, we purchase an aftermarket A/C condensor (designed for street rods) that has its own shroud and fan. They are relatively cheap at about $160.00 and we then mount this using the large scoop under the door jamb. So basically, its mounted standing up at a slight angle, in between the rear of the door jamb, and in front of the rear tire. This setup for us has worked great in the West Texas Heat."

A/C Condenser in Rocker Panel Scoop

I'm considering putting an A/C condenser in the rocker panel scoop where the oil cooler would go on an OEM car.  I can get a 12'' x 14'' condenser that would work and it looks like I could fit a 10'' fan in there.  Do you guys think a 10'' fan would provide enough cooling for the A/C condenser, has anyone tried this?
