I always give them a stern warning first..

Sorry, I had to.

Seriously, I just sand them out in the bodywork and paint the final color coats in the booth..

How do you keep dust and gnats from falling onto your painted parts? :\

Getting her ready!  Just finished up masking off.  Now I've got to take out everything in my shop.  Sucks using your shop as your garage too!  Wiping it down and getting ready to start filler priming.

Not recently.  When I thought of it yesterday, I had already taken it apart to start masking.   In the shop right now.   Sprayed the black on the trunk lid, front hood, Headlight buckets, Jambs, and tail light buckets.   They look really nice so far.  Continuing to mask off today for spray of the body tomorrow.  When I put it all back together and black I will make some new vids I'm sure.

Mitch the car is amazing, awesome work.  ::beers

Can i ask what state you are located in ? Florida here.

I would have loved to gotten some bodywork pointers watching you work.

Im in Louisiana bro.  Thanks for the kind words.  Believe me, this tests everything you know about bodywork.  This work has me pulling my hair some days.   But blocking down a black fill prime will definitely help get me closer.  If anything else needs work, the black primer ought to show it up quickly.   And if I have to do some individual panel re filler priming to make this just right, It should be alot easier.   Im not painting till Im satisfied.  Its taken this long to get here,  whats the rush now!

Thanks alot BigPines.....wow, you read the whole thing.  Thats awesome.  Believe it or not....I just read the whole thing.  Thinking back on all that work.  Got it masked off today.  Monday is the date!  Fill primed and one color,  cant hardly wait.
Yes, I had read the whole thing previously but after seeing how close you were, I thought I'd like to see the journey again. :) An awful lot of work. No doubt you learned a lot along the way. Thanks again for bringing the rest of us along.

Congratulations! It looks amazing.

Edit: I have to tell you, I decided to re-read your entire build diary tonight. Thank you for taking the time to document it so well. It is very helpful. Your work is very impressive and inspirational. I can't wait to see the car in GREEN!

Spent the last two days going over every inch of the build.  Im well satisfied to this point.  "A lot of work" is such an understatement.  BUT.....Its ready for the next stage.  Blew it off and wiped it down and corrected every little thing I could find.  Pulled it out for some pics.   This is the last time it will look like this!   ::bounce
