Just a quick walk around of my progress so far.  Some of the "specks" seen are small pinholes the filler didn't cover over.   I will have to find and fill these when blocking down for final paint.   This is a real eye opener, finally getting a look at what it's really going to be like.  I can hardly wait to finish.  The noises you hear in the vid is because its raining outside, and the my roosters kept getting riled up for some reason.

Starting my week off now.  Couldn't wait to get started.   So this week I will be getting into the interior, finally.  I have a lot of parts and I'm going to have to fab a few things as well.  Should be interesting.  I have never done interiors so fabricating the panels and trim ought to be challenging.  My Fiance does upholstery but never done automotive.  But a few samples she's done look great.  I bought a new black carpet kit to fit the MR2 base.  From there I just need the fillers.   I already have my seats, steering wheel and gauges. Gotta clean up 2 years of soot and dust.  Cant wait to get dirty!  Keep posted. 

I just downloaded a video to YouTube as well of a current walk around.  Posting it as soon as it comes live.

Yes,  This is a PPG prime and seal.  Reduced 3oz per quart as a sealer,  Then sprayed 2 coats unreduced as fill prime.   Used a 1.4 tip on my Iwata when sealing, but the unreduced required a 2.0.   Made some orange peel, but sands easily.   Wanted to use DuPont 1220S, but couldn't get it for less than around $300/kit.   The 1220S Was my first choice as I dont shoot PPG products all too often.  We use these at work on our composites on our Air Craft.

Put the hood, trunk lid, engine lid, and headlights back in.  Now its out in the sun for some heat.  Its the end of the seven days "off" for me so tomorrow I go back to work.  Been a productive week and Im very satisfied.  Next week, gonna start fitting and fabricating some interior panels.  Thanks for all the wonderful compliments once again!

Seriously though.....When I paint, I use plastic sheeting on the ceiling and walls.  Then my filtered fans run to pull air into the room instead of pulling air out.  I have 2 filters also cut into the walls to let the air and overspray out.  My CFM's are greater into the room than out of the room, so the plastic sheeting acts like a bubble and expands out to the walls and ceiling.  My air is filtered as it comes in and since I am in a bubble, the room is very clean.  Plus, the positive pressure keeps bugs and dirt out.  Only whats on the car and me is contaminated.  I usually wet the floor as well.  So a good blow and wipe of the car and a tyvek suit gets the job done.  I get really clean home paint jobs this way,  much cleaner than I used to when I had a cross draft booth.  Whatever works.  In some pics you can see remnants of the sheeting that tore from the staples I used to tack it up.   

Hope you kinda understand all that.

Alright, I'm out of the shop and I am so excited!   The car is primed and one color again.  Im pretty happy with the results.  A few pinholes and a little bit more blocking but otherwise, a huge leap forward!
