I found a source for these and have about 25 for sale if anyone is interested. The price is $37 a plate which includes shipping in the USA (shipping outside the USA is extra).
These are high quality silkscreened parts on aluminum plate and pre-punched with rivet holes in the corners. They will accept a 5/32 rivet and caution should be used when riveting to fiberglass to avoid possible fiberglass cracking (consider a soft aluminum or a plastic rivet).
I can have them etched with your VIN number and assembly date for an additional $12 per plate and this will add one week to the delivery time.
PM me for payment information if interested.

These look great! I wish I had a VIN. Not sure if I should just get the plate now and have my VIN etched later or wait and hope they (or something like it) are still available down the road. Hmmm...

I only have about 22 of them from the 25 that I bought and I'm not sure at this time about a second order. It's best to order them now while I have them and not risk the chances of missing out. :)
If you don't have a VIN number yet, simply buy one now and take them to your local trophy shop and have them engraved later on.

Pm sent. Thank you sir!

I'm suggesting a couple coats of clear (can be simple spray can clear) to help protect the surface once they've been engraved.

This is too cool (and too cheap) to pass up. I have sent you a PM!
I think it is these little details that make a BIG difference in the end!
Thanks for offering these. :)

I have picture of the engine bay metal plate , which is fitted to all models . Unfortunately the door mounted VIN plate is North American versions. :( I really like it though.
The barcode label though , I do like :), these can be made by opening this page -
http://www.terryburton.co.uk/barcodewriter/generator/ (http://www.terryburton.co.uk/barcodewriter/generator/)
and using "symbology " - 'code 93 extended' , and then entering your vin in the 'contents' box and click generate. Change the scale factors to make it longer.

Do have the dimensions on the engine bay plate? I'm sure that my supplier can get these also however the VIN number part would be a little interesting for our cars since part of the number is silkscreened on the original part and there would be no way of doing this for our cars since the numbers range all over the place and setting up a bunch of different screens would cost a fortune. I could just have them leave this line blank and everyone could have this totally engraved with their VIN number or use stencils / stick on letters to highlight a couple letters and engrave the rest. Honestly, most people would only see the plate and not know enough about the VIN number and since this plate is in the engine bay, they'd realize it's a non-Lamborghini engine before probably ever questioning the plate. :)
What is the interest in these?
Thanks,
Chris

I am very interested. I agree with your idea to just engrave the entire VIN. Nobody will no the difference and as you say, once you in the engine bay, the cat is kind of out of the bag. :)
I wonder if the US label is different though. We should probably figure that out first.

My vin tag arrived from No Bull. It's top quality and well worth the price.
Thank you sir for getting these made. ::salute

I received mine as well. Looks just like OEM. Happy customer. ::thumbup

Received mine today. Thanks bull!! Very nice I like it

I'm glad to see that everyone that has ordered them is happy with them. I still have some left if anyone else is interested.
I've had a couple people ask where this plate goes so I'm posting a picture of where it's located on the American models and I've been told that this plate doesn't exist on the European models and is replaced by a different plate in the engine bay.
Thanks,
Chris

Ah, so that other plate String posted is only for non-US versions? From his post I understood it was on all the Murcielagos.

That is how it goes for almost all of us Purple. :)

I just don't want to become "that guy" buying up nothing but nick nacks and not spending my money moving forward!!! I should be saving money on a new front end or an actial kit for that matter but find myself looking at stuff like this, headlight rings and what not LOL!!! But when something this quality pops up, with no promise of it's availability tomorrow you jump on it! Thanks again, they look phenomenal!!!

Yes, that is what we all do. I understand what you are saying. However, during this journey, opportunities will arise and you have to decide when to take advantage of the opportunities that may not be available later. It is a judgement call. Nothing wrong with that. I think it is part of the fun...then again, there are those on this forum who think I am "that guy". Hehehehe Whatever. This is supposed to be fun. Make sure you are having fun!

::bounce You better believe I'm having fun! ::bounce

Chris.....I'm just coming into this for the first time. Sorry I'm late.
Are you putting the Fiero/MR2, etc, VIN# on this tag? Is this correct? And if so....is there any conflict at all with the tag saying "manufactured by ..... in Italy". Just asking. I know its more for aesthetic replication purposes. Dont know much about this. Do you still have some more available?

Hi Mitch, yes these are intended to be engraved with the VIN number of your car. I'm assuming that your car will need to retain either the VIN tag that came with the donor or a new sticker will be issued by the DMV if a new number is issued to the car (will probably depend on the state). Personally I don't think the made in Italy information on the tag will have any impact on the VIN number which is what the DMV is really interested in. Also if you are required to retain the original VIN tag, this would only match that number and be on the underside of the door for aesthetics. I know that my Fiero based car is legally registered as a 2010 Lambo Spec and the state of Arizona issued the car a new VIN number that starts with AZ. This number is on a Arizona DMV sticker which is located on the door jamb and I'll make sure to retain this on the car since it matches the title. Technically having the VIN appear in other locations on the car (actually a requirement in most states) won't be an issue as long as it's the same VIN that's on the title. It's always best to check with your local laws just to make sure. :)
Yes, I have some plates left if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Chris

I checked with a buddy that owns a real Murci on the other plate and he told me that his car didn't have that plate or decal and his car is an original US based coupe. I'm going to try and visit him soon and take pictures with sizes of all the plates and decals on his car.
Thanks,
Chris

Sounds good Chris. I'd like a complete set of these stickers/plates for US models.

Like the man in the orthopedic shoes , ' I stand corrected ' , the engine bay plate is ROW cars and US cars have the door mounted plate. I do however need declared axle weights on my VIN plate.
Cheers

Thanks for the clarification Sting.

Just got mine in the mail! They look amazing!!! Now I just need a door to mount these to! ::beers

I still have plates left if anyone is interested? I'm able to ship these out this week and get them there before Christmas morning. They would make wonderful stocking stuffers for the children and look excellent on a Big Wheel or bike! ::tongue
