Title: Are there any Gallardo body kits in North America?
Post by: Digibeam on August 01, 2014, 12:17:10 PM
I am wondering if there are any Gallardo body kits for sale in North America, I have seen the UK version which was nice but nothing else.
Pictures and factual info would be appreciated.

Digibeam,
If you are seriously looking for a kit then I would talk to Inspire about the one he is building.  I have his Venta-R kit and would highly recommend him as a vendor!  I can't speak about the Gallardo kit directly as it is not completed however unlike many other so called manufactures/builders out there, you WILL actually get what you pay for from Inspire and it will be very close to OEM!

Any chance of preview images ? What model, is it a physical mould of OEM or a Cnc version?  And what's the projected timeline?

Hello, this is the model of it. Ive had the model for a while now but havent started yet since ive been busy doing projects for other people, but it looks like im clear to do this one soon. I cant really give a projected time line, since if i get orders for other projects i would put this one aside.

Hmmm. Any chance you would make a more common version rather than an exotic version?
It is a very impressive design without a question.... But....
Personally I am not a fan of that rear end on the car, or the engine cover or the wing and while I'm at it the front bumper...and fenders....
Other than that I am a big fan of the Gallardo ..... Normal run of the mill straight forward no bells or whistles Gallardo....coupe.... Shaken not stirred....
My thoughts are that if a regular version of OEM will not be available in N America anytime soon then I may have to go off shore to find what I am looking for.
Or maybe time to start another project on the side...
Thank you for the images

Yeah many people don't like the triangular front and rear bumpers of that version

Very nice, but to me they tend to look like running shoes these days with all sorts of crap on them for no appearing reason other than it looks important....
Once upon a time you could buy plain white leather Adidas or nikes,  no bells no whistles just a good pair of shoes that does the intended job without adding ten layers of goofy stuff all over the outside.

I like the Gallardo in its intended and natural form, it is as practicable as it could get based on an exotic car, and unless an R8 body kit came available I would just want a straight forward Gallardo body that I can buy OEM parts on eBay for....
That is what I would like to find.....
