well that is when you do  home made mig sleeve joint weld two shafts . as I said before ,if one is GM,the shaft its harder then audi /BMW or both are gm. GM shafts are harder . 
you need proper sleeve and  welding. not mig.

These cars are custom made.  It could be anything.  I would remove it and go to a machine shop that could repair it or research and find what CV joints they are and have a new axle made.

Hey guys, I bought this Triangle G kit car and the rear axle broke, I thought it was a fiero, but the guy said it's something else... any ideas????
