Bonding headlight lenses.
nickmkk:
I was liking the idea of using strips because I could temporarily attach the lens then fabricate the mounts for the headlights. I'll just wait to mount the headlights until I've finished building them though. Then I can attach the lens with urethane and mount them so the lens will definitely be flush with the fenders.

If you are bonding the lenses to the buckets I would just use the windshield urethane.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but how hard should the rubber be for this? Would 40 Shore A work or should I go softer? Is there something specific that you use for this or do you just buy a sheet of rubber material and cut it into strips?

Why can't he just use a foam gasket then use wrap around clips on the edges?
Matty99dun:
if you get lenses with sides they should have a flat edge around the outer, you screw this edge it fits under the panel so you can't see any
screws, I guess it depends on what lenses you have. .
