Hello everyone! This is my first post. I've been checking out this site for a long spell now and I have to say, the level of talent among the builders her is fantastic!!!
I have a question... Can someone tell me who is making the billet headlight rings for the LP 670 projectors? These are the rings I am looking for...

Thank you in advance! =)

Hopefully someone out there has a set for you! I know the maker of these aluminum rings had only made so many! I'd make a set myself if I had some time to do so!!!

Mine sold really quick.

Thanks guys! They are beautifully made! I can certainly see why they sold so quickly! :)

If someone had one they could send me, I could reproduce them. I have a 3 axis CNC in my garage and know how to use it. Even a accurate CAD drawing would do.

I have a extra set of the plastic ones that was gonna throw away b/c they didn't turn out like i wanted them to. but they should be good enough for you to get some measurements and such. Pm me your address and i'll send em over to you.
-
Exciting! :)
-
Conner i got his address but it might be a afew days before i can send them. But hopefully the ball will keep rolling to a finished product.
-
Had some time today to stop by the PO so they are on their way. Later.

They were poorly made with a ton of pin holes in them, i did put a lot of time into them and intended to use them but one of them was warped and sort of oval shaped from the time i bought the kit from Jackie at CkI. I tried fixing it but was just never fully satisfied with them and I saw that MurciMe was selling a set and his were of much better quality (paint ready with no warps (The ones I sent to Mr Everson to be remade in metal were not warped)) so I just bought those from MurciMe) They are of similar or same material and I was wondering about the heat from the projector units as well and from the sun exposure but I haven't done enough real world testing to give you an accurate assessment. Seems as though it should be fine, as I have yet to hear any complaints from our fellow cloners. Good luck.

I hated 4 things on my cars: interior, rims, taillights and headlights. Interior came out beautiful, I bought new rims, replaced the taillights with oems. Only thing left are the headlights. I hate them. They should have been done right from the beginning. I bought the project car. So help me out guys on the headlights. I'm going to keep the buckets. I am going to leave them molded into the body. The glass looks great. The only f-ed up thing are these ugly oversized rings.

So I ripped them out. Look at how big they are:

Now the smaller ring was a trip. Inside of the ring there was the projector glass glued on to the end of the ring! Then a light fixture was taped on to the outside of the ring. Pretty genius but still the ring looks off:
(http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/madmods1/mm3_zpsdbjvchan.jpg) (http://s5.photobucket.com/user/madmods1/media/mm3_zpsdbjvchan.jpg.html)
There is a projector lens glued into the end of this ring:

Then this light housing is taped to the projector:

So I'm going to rebuild the back wall out of fiberglass. The turn signal I have is fine. What projectors do you guys recommend?

Use these P1's for the regular beam.

Use these P6's for the high beam. You'll just have to remove the angel eyes from these. Just a few screws.

Not, you are the man! What setup are you running? I'm missing that little pen light on my buckets but don't really care.

Hey there, i am using these 194 led lights that you can get from autozone or oreillys. Yes they are amber.

You can also get the harness or socket there at the store or here is a link to them on ebay.

I'm happy with the results i got. I'll get a pic of it later.

Cool, thanks man. If you can or have a pic from the back. Curious on how you mounted the projectors in the rear. Mine were epoxied.

I can't get to the backside without taking the wheel well and wheel off. I may be able to stick my hand under the hood and get a pic of it blind like that but i'll try tomorrow. Here is a couple pics of my lights on and off.
-
Hey Mike, any updates on those Headlight rings? Just curious.

Here are some pictures of mine, I am also using the P1 and P6 lights. For the pen light on the side you can use a glass tube from a cigar, some come with them and you can just cut it down.

Beautiful work autopro! Would adding halo or angel/devil lights ruin the look? Everybody wants to build the perfect replica, but real owners change out parts, rims, exhaust, modify, etc.
-
Thanks madmods, actually one of them already come with halo's on them. I can't remember if it's the P1 or P6's but I think they would look pretty good. I've seen several kits for the OEM lambo's on ebay so I imagine quite a few people do as you say.
