Thanks Mike!  I started checking the fitment on the interior panels that I got from you, thanks again buddy.  I needed to make sure that these will fit with the 1"x1" tube frame that I have behind them.  It's a tight fit but I think it will be alright, I should know better once I get everything fitted and welded up.  I love these panels though, they are making aligning everything much easier, definitely a nice touch.

I started cutting all the sheet metal for the trunk, I still have a few pieces to go but should have them all done by the weekend.

Had a long weekend but sadly I was only able to work on the car yesterday.  I ended up taking off all the rear suspension and removed the motor.

Today I  started taking the body off to do the final welding on my chassis.  After I finish that and I clean it up I can go ahead and paint it.

Here's a picture of one of the door frames also after all the welding and grinding.

Couldn't agree with you more Bobi, cheers budy!

Mike, it's definitely solid now, he used really thick aluminum.

So my friend SchulzeA made me these awesome aluminum uprights on his CNC machine  :notworthy.  I just can't explain how sweet these things are, they are perfect.  I couldn't wait to get them mounted but I was pretty busy all weekend but I finally finished last night.  I drilled and tapped the uprights and it's nice and solid with no movement whatsoever and I'm sure this will never come off at speed.  Thanks again Alan you rock brother  ::rocker

Last night I was playing with my door latches and I was able to figure out how to work them.  It has two latch release levers, one on top for the outer door handle and one on the bottom for the inner door handle.  Next to the lower release lever is the latch lock/unlock lever that is controlled with the actuator via the key or lock/unlock switch.  Another good thing I found is that even if my latch is in the lock position the inner door handle will unlock it and open the door, this happens with or without power to the actuator.  ::thumbup   Here is a picture of what lever does what on my latch.

Did some more work for my door latch reinforcement and for to top window frame.  It's already very strong even though I only have everything tack weld at the moment.  The round metal bar at the top we info frame made a real difference of how it seals to the body now.  Before it would flex without it.

And sorry :-[ still have not went to the junkyard to get my door lock actuators.

@ 76mx – I need to get out there but this week has been hectic and the weekend doesn’t look too good either.

@ notnilc20 – I was afraid I wouldn’t really like it since I had only seen pictures of it and never saw it up close and personal.  I did like it very much and it looks awesome out in the sun.  I already buffed out the seats so they are ready to go to the upholstery shop.

@ Robert – Thanks buddy!
