This was over on MM so i cant take credit for finding this vid. But looks like a good job. Headlights and all.
lamborghini aventador replica (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr1hXFmumcs#)
-
I agree it looks amazing!
I can't wait for a domestic USA body, maybe from ncrazyballer from MM. I refuse to get raped and possibly beheaded by some cartel gangbangers.
-
You dont have to wait for a domestic supplier he will sell to U.S. buyers, no problem at all.
Its actually cheaper to buy straight from him than to go through a second party here who just marks it up and re-names it. There's no interior for the kit yet, and the car you see in the video is just a mock-up on a rolling chassis (thats why there's no video of the car actually driving under its own power).
-
this is terrible, aventador on this miracle did not seem...
-
Wonder how much he'll be willing to sell one for.
-
Actually this guy is located in Mexicali which is still on US soil but for the most part Mexicali is like TJ, its up against the border.
This is the same guy who did the really nice Ferrari F-50 Replica on the Fiero chassis and the LP640. He actually did a great job with this one.
I thought He is in calexico, on the Mexican side
Murcie me do know this guy in person ? I've tried to get in contact with him many times and another lamboclone member "auto pro" tried to get in touch with him too since he is in SD/ Tijuana , but we were unable to get a hold of him
-
Wonder how much he'll be willing to sell one for.
$8500 just for the body or $42000 turnkey
-
So there is going to be an interior option?
Price seems low for turnkey
-
Yes, Yes, and No. There is no replica interior yet. $8500 is a great price, definately cheaper than buying it part by part.
-
for what was 8500? this piece of garbage not similar to aventador.... I'm tired of his to compare and seek at least something what was Correctly, no part is not even close coincides, may cap the motor, only part of which is close to the original part. and for that 8500? it does not cost anything
-
any foreshortening from any direction, there is no similar the plane...

That is your opinion and honestly I think it looks pretty darn good for the first attempt. This is also better than anything that's currently being shared as "near available" so I challenge you to show us what you've got to offer that's better. ;D
Chris
-
for the first maybe yes, maybe OK, but when you consider that it is impossible to bring to the visual fidelity with the original aventador, I think it's not worth 8500... if there was any some sort of a part of the exact, To use as basic part, but no, it is 100% does not correspond to.
I would say this is a good attempt, but to pay for it I would not)
but it is my opinion ;)

I certainly respect your opinion and if it's not close enough to OEM for your standards yet, I'm sure there will be other versions coming out soon. It might actually be different enough that Audi can't come after him and that could be a plus. I'm sure they are anxiously watching the Forums awaiting news of any Aventador replica to quickly jump on shutting them down. I bet that there is more than one member on this site willing to buy one of these early bodies just to feed the Aventador craving.
I agree that $8500 is a little steep for my wallet, but I'm sure he's trying to get as much money back as possible before everyone starts splashing his work and selling less expensive versions.
Chris

If it sucks and it's a piece of crap, why don't you make one?
I think it looks stunning. Come up with something better.
It might not be absolutely 100%, maybe it is. Maybe it's the angle you have of the pictures.
If you never seen one in person and have the measurements, and you never seen Carlos kit, then you cannot compare.

What? It doesn't say $8,500 for turnkey...
I know there doesn't seem to be interior (As you can see, no pictures of it), but you don't know what hasn't been shown to the public, obviously, just like the parts you say you are making.

"Terrible" and "Garbage", a little harsh don't you think? If you were a builder it would seem that you would have a little more respect for your fellow mans craft and work.
-
if he was new to this I would say SUPER
but he built F50, Bugatti, for a person with experience and understanding of affairs, I think he did a defective...
and I would not not say a word if he had built for himself, but he sells it at a price which does not correspond to the quality of

Couldn't agree more. LOL
It looks pretty darn good from this angle.

Welcome Caravent. From what i can see in the pics, you got awesome skills. What did you use for the headlights and taillights? Thanks.

Anyone who criticizes this build has no clue what goes into fabricating a car from pictures and diagrams. If you can pull a mold directly from the real car, you can make an accurate replica (still a pain in the butt,) but to make it from scratch is out of this world! Carlos is a genius in my book! The morons who criticize this project should be booted off this forum because they don't have an effin' clue about building cars!

hermoso coche Carlos! Muy buen trabajo. Mucho mejor que otros he visto! Sigan haciendo este gran trabajo :)

envy? what are you talking? What's wrong with you? you can not see the obvious things? or simply do not take criticism?
yes I like the tail lights are made, very impressive work on the grill, but accuracy in the body no
explain to somebody! all must admire this body? 'll score the truth,'ll score the criticism, all praise Mexican aventador?
oh! it is very accurate! it cost a million brilliant! now everything? you feel better?
-
I think it's time to give exzi a time out or ban , his only posts are to insult others
Carlos muy bien!!!
What chassis are you using ? Stretch fiero or a different car?
-
some of the people who knows all and criticize others included oem cars, don't have no build on their own. I'll bet they can't even change flat tire.
-
Exzi, your opinion is your opinion and the issue is how you expressed that opinion. Please be kind to members posts. We all understand that not every piece of our builds are up to certain standards and I understand the want to criticize somebody's hard work. However, please be more polite in the approach you take toward others builds, if you are going to criticize have something helpful to add to your criticism.
Welcome to the site Carlos! Glad you found us, you do a fantastic job on all of the builds that I have seen! Cant wait to see more
@ exzi PM has been sent

I really think this is an awesome start. Congrats Caravent on a great body. Im sure a tremendous amount of work went into getting it to this stage. Cant wait to see your progress with this build.

I agree with everything Dustin has said and support it 100%

I dont think he should be banned or given a time out lol. He feels the car is not accurate and that is fine to have his own opinion. Just be nicer about expressing it, thats all.
Also, if you have a problem with a specific area of the car, why dont you say what it is, or show pics of how it should be? To knock the whole car without any real specifics just makes you look childish, and doesnt help your point.
I love the car. I'm tossing around the idea of selling mine so I can build it!
-
:'( but the 670 looks so much better
Just change the color like you said you were going to, then you'll feel better ::thumbup

If you sold yours to build the Aventador, it would be ground breaking. Only problem i'd have with it is you'd set the bar so high for everyone else...again. :P
-
No, I dont think I would set it to high, these cars (Lamborghini's) already require alot of attention to detail. Look at it this way, If I built an Aventador, I would have to make an interior for it as well :)

Doesn't mean you'll be selling your made parts, aren't you worried of people copying them
-
Murci me do you mean you'll buy caravent body and massage it to make it more exact , or mold your own car??
From your level of perfection on your murci I'd imagine that this body , while the best work thus far , would not meet your level of replication standard
-
Why wouldn't it, he built from a G28 ::scratch
-
Because to make this one more exact the entire front side and rear profiles need to be redone - maybe making it easier to just start from scratch if youre going to do all that
To me the sides with the deeper door/side scallops of the real car and different window line and wheel wells is the biggest giveaway
-
any foreshortening from any direction, there is no similar the plane...
a picture there is no same like video ::salute

It all depends if can see the car in person first, and determine what needs to be done. Its the interior thats alot of work, and I have to research to see if I can find good pics to build from. The car will never be 100% unless its pulled from a real body (duh), but like all these replicas (Countaches, Murcies, Diablos, etc) you need to expect some discrepencies, as long as they are not major ones.
-
The more times I look at the pictures of this car... the more I want it!
I'm committed (financially and emotionally) to finishing this LP640 roadster, but I can easily see an Aventador or Zonda project in my future.
It will definitely be on a custom frame! ::thumbup

Only thing that bothers me is the rear wheel opening but still nice overall
-
gracias amigos for you ivitation to this place by the moment im are busy im go put the kit car of the video in calexico california for display & sale in usa territory.. saludos
-
If you pick at anything long enough one will find flaws in it.
Lets move on from this now. Good job to the builder for having the first aventador on the market. It sure looks way better than the very first murcielago that came on the market!
-
Well difference is it's now 2013
-
Good eye Jackal! the rear wheelwell is easily fixable though.
-
no man you need to compare my side picture no't the video the video depent the time & video camera lens
-
Wow it looks totally different in that picture Caravent! I think it looks fantastic. Do you have an interior for it, and does the car have door jambs? Maybe we can work out a deal ;)
-
the guy thats make this comparison he see that he want see (im apologize for my english) he know that the movement of the camera cause deformed or sistorted the images for moment you can see on de video you need to compare the pictures guy
-

According to you, no.
There is no replica interior yet.
-
im workig for now on finally details for have a very good images of the interior you friends no't disappointment of me
-
As Murcie-Me said, it's a great start (of course despite the flaws in details) and is still worth some money.
I featured this same Aventador body in my journal on MM on August 1st. when I got the pictures from someone else in Mexico who had access to the buck and the body.
Caravent, will you be kind and show us a few pics of the wood buck then the final mold this car was made from, and any other future replica Avent... you will be making from?
Thank you

Mike if you were to build an Aventador, you have any idea how you would do the door hinge/mounting to get it to open up and out simultaneously? I can't find any pics of how Lambo did it.
