Has anybody found a good donor seat belt that is short enough to use in the Murci's? I know the older Durango's seatbelt slider works like factory but I believe the seatbelt system will be to long. ::study
-
Do you know what the length on the Murci is? I didn't know that it would be a factor in buying a set of seatbelts but maybe it is. Anyways, if you do a search on ebay for 3-point seatbelt you get a lot of hits and there are some really inexpensive options out there that look very similar to the Murci; here are some examples:

Isn't the whole oem assembly like $300 with the sliders and plastic pieces? I was just going to buy that
-
Im getting the 4 piece hummer set (so ill have 2 extras) ::toothy Good find ::toothy, I didn't realize they were sold like that!
Tallon, im not sure what the price is for OEM but im getting these belts for around $15 bucks a piece and the Durango sliders are almost the exact same as the murices and I can get them for about $10 bucks a piece or less so I'll have around $50 bucks in the complete setup.

Nice works for me if I can just make the plastic parts, idk why i'm stuck on getting the exact look but I have been for a long time lol
-
Ya im going for the exact look also. this should be fine especially since we now have the safety belt cover piece now...

I want that piece!!!!!
Let me know how you liked the seatbelts when they come in, I might as well order mine now also LOL
-
If ure selling them ill buy one. Ready when u r lol
-
Well they will be for sale, but let me check on how they will fit. Don't want to sell something that won't work ::wave
-
Maserati ones look just like lambo's with the adjusting button for $15, now to somehow get the cover piece under that. ::scratch
Can't even find decent interior pics of that car showing it

Is this for the coupe on roadster (I think you said you have both).
I need one for a roadster!
Chris
-
That one's for coupe but looks like the only difference is the slots for the trim that the coupe has :S
think he meant he has both of the panels for behind the seat could be wrong

Tallon is correct....

I got my seat belts in over the weekend, Im totally happy with them. Not only were the made to military spec and made by the cheapest bidder, they will work perfect for our builds!
-
I got a set :D
I'll probably carve out and make the plastic cover for where the bolt goes, design looks simple enough
any idea on the light in the middle?
-
I dont think there is a light in the middle from factory, I believe it is just a little push in trim cover to cover up the screw, I think the picture was the alarm light somebody installed aftermarket...
In regard to the cover piece that covers the screw on the top of the seatbelt, I was just going to use any of the covers that are on most cars. They are all pretty much the same size. Tonight im going to see if the Durango covers will fit.
-
I think it is factory, every time I see that area it's there. I believe the early murcie's had it lower.
I have kind of an obsession with these interior pics lol
think you're right about it being alarm light
Here's an LP670

Oh found another don't see too many of those shots in an sv
we thank the cheap production # label that's falling off
-
Ya Tallon Guess your right! Pictures of that area are kinda hard to find...
I got my adjusters in and kinda mocked up for looks... All Dodge Durango stuff except the safety belts themselves
-
got mine in
i bought the cover piece too, will post a picture when I get them in and we'll see how it looks
I'm thinking some metal needs to be trimmed off, not sure
-
I put on the bmw covers for my seat belts, I had to grind off some metal to put them down that far. I'm not sure if they will be strong enough now though. I think they would look better if the cover was down more, I thought about welding in the holes and re drilling them further down then they will have enough metal on the top and look better as well.
-
Looks pretty dang close but I agree they should sit a bit lower. I have attached an OEM pic for reference.
Fabricate away! ;)

I did get a factory set of belts - they are for the Diablo 6.0 if anyone wants to look them up.
The dimensions are 124mm apart , and from the top down - 163mm to the next 8mm hole and then a further 70mm to the 12mm hole for the reels.
I have ordered a LED fitting , so will have to wait and see what turns up.
-
Here it is so far.. black backing was too long so I took it out, might be able to trim it to fit. That part is definitely different than lambo's.
It involved grinding away the plastic coating and weld fill the hole and redrill... I really hope this is safe!
