Hello All,
I found out the reason why the car won't go in gear with ease and the reason is the brackets that hold the shifter cables are broken and shifter cable won't sit in place. The clip won't hold it because the bracket on the transmission has a broken piece so it doesn't form a circle and it won't hold the cable in place it just pops out. My question is does anyone has a spare 4spd manual transmission and is willing to sell just the bracket that holds shifter and selector cable. The piece looks like this

Please if anyone has it and is willing to sell it let me know. I don't want to buy a new transmission because of this problem. Thanks in advance

Is it not possible to just make a new one based on the old one?

We still have U-Wrench-It junk yards where I live that still have Fieros in their yards. Look around for a yard that has older cars in it and you should be able to find this bracket that you need.

It is probably possible to make a new one but both are broken so I would rather just replace the whole thing. I will check junkyards this weekend if I have time. Still, if anyone has it and wants to sell it please let me know.

Have you considered welding and repairing the one you have?
It doesn't look like much to do and it could save you a lot of time searching and traveling to get one.
Just a thought.
