Title: Cleaning up my wheels
Post by: Michael Everson on December 08, 2015, 05:34:13 PM
The wheels on my Diablo are a mess. The chrome is badly pitted on the centers and the back side of the inner rim.  I decided to take them apart and clean up the cents.  I sand blasted the loos chrome off and then powder coated the center gloss black.  I sprayed the back of the wheel Matte black.  What do you think?  I think it will look good with the wheels like this.  Now to do the other 3. Someone is going to get a nice car by the time it sells.

The black centers and polished lip looks great

However you lose seeing the shape of the wheel with black centre .it looks more like a 5 spoke rim rather than a porthole style

I would paint the centers bright silver or gunmetal

It really only looks like that in the pictures.  They look great in person.  On a side note, Speedline assembles these with Titanium hardware.  Cool
