There is a body shop listed at that address. I'm going with scam or junk products. As Transcend pointed out, they don't even have their photos right... Which could very well be the web designer fail, but I doubt it.

If you read carefully , they say they have no shop. They "work with local shops".

And all the models are Cki kits

So at best , this guy buys a Cki kit for you , and has a local shop build it, and he adds a huge profit margin for himself

At worst he takes your 50% deposit and you get nothing ,or garbage .

With no feedback and no history this is yet another wannabe "kit broker " not a builder

They welcome people to come to their shop and see their builds. They are advertising on Ebay right now.

I suppose it could be worse and this builder was located up in Michigan with Jim.

Nothing is worse than a "Wolverine Builder".... gotcha Jim!   ::toothy

My guess is that it's someone who is legitimately trying to get into the business but doesn't have a clue on what is involved (costs or actual work involved in creating a decent product).

This happens a lot in the "kit car" industry and my favorite story was about a guy who was going into the Cobra business years ago.  During an interview in Kit Car magazine, he was quoted as saying "yes, my cars are going to be metal, the original body that we are pulling our measurements from had a lot of fiberglass issues."   ::counfused

Even the best intentions often lead to disappointment on both the buyer and sellers behalf.

Caveat emptor!

If it sounds too good to be true...
I don't know them and have never heard of them but, IMHO it is impossible to build for the price ($25,000 - $50,000) and the time frame of three months.
NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.

It isn't enough to want a Lambo, you have to want to BUILD A CAR.
