- I added 4 new tubes to the "T" section (central tunnel) for extra reinforcement;

- All metal sheets for the floor, rear firewall, central tunnel and sides are ready, plus most of the ones located in the front end. I make them 0,5 mm smaller to allow easier installation. The metal sheets are ideal for use as templates to assemble the tubes accurately.

Updates on my Govedo chassis plans
« Reply #1 on: February 28, 2016, 03:46:56 AM »
I decided to open this new topic rather than posting in my old one at the "Services" section (www.lamboclone.com/index.php?topic=774.120) , because I would like to use the former mainly for announcements, as well as to keep the latter more clean for the people who post their stuff for sale there.

I will start with a list of the chassis sections, indicating what is already finished and what else has a work in progress status. These refer to the EU version of my chassis plans, while the two US versions are set a week or two later.

I split the "B - Bumpers" section into two separate ones, named "B - Front bumper" and "RB - Rear bumper" respectively. That should make them easier to navigate since their tubes are meant to be used in two totally different areas of the chassis. Even though the "M" section remain in "half completed" status, I work on creating more plans for the metal plates and sheets, as well as improving the front and rear wheel hubs (uprights) that are also part of this section. I also did some improvement on the rear bumper ("RB" section). As usual, for user convenience I try to name the tubes in such way that their number will correspond to the same order they are used in the chassis build. For this same reason, I had to rename multiple tubes in the front end, because I figured out a better way to do the assembly in that area.

The current progress of the EU and both US chassis plans is as follows:
A - Floor level [fully completed]
B - Front bumper [fully completed]
C - Engine cradle [fully completed]
*D - Door frames and hinges [not yet started]
E - Engine bay [fully completed]
F - Front end [fully completed]
R - Roof roll-cage [fully completed]
RB - Rear bumper [fully completed]
S - Sides of the cockpit [fully completed]
T - Central Tunnel [fully completed]
W - Firewall [fully completed]
*M - Metal sheets and plates [half completed]
MP - Machined parts [fully completed]
SP - Suspension tubes [fully completed]
