Test wired the Cadillac Catera power mirror switch to the existing Fiero GT power mirror wiring, then the Murcielago side view mirror.

Soldered up the catera switch  to the fiero wiring, nice and neat    ::toothy

back from vaca and  on to the REDO :o

Go figure had a little issue with the fiero wiring for the door locks.   Not good to have the 12v supply exposed

Made a mount for the MES Swiss made door lock actuator.

Mounted the Chinese door lock control module

I hear ya bro, I looked up the brand and doesn't seem to be those China/Taiwan junks, Although I still hate the strip brackets they come with, Just lookin' out as those have done before me.

Just bought the actuators, will fashion mounting points using 12 gauge steel.

But going to have to wait, heading out for vacation !

For the door locks I will be using MES Swiss made actuators and a cable system rather than a lever system.

Bought 2 of the same cheap Chinese systems with remote,  instructions were lame but got it to work.  I have to test it a bit more, but since it wont be inside the door, I will probably use it

Using the fiero wiring and two relays with the OEM switch

just waiting on some hardware for the cable install.

Cleaned up the window channel inserts and reinstalled along with motor and glass.

Then made bracket for attaching outer window sweep to outer door skin, after modifying the skin a bit

Pretty happy the way it is coming along

Great job. I love these types of pictures that shows it is ok to cut a hole and then repair it when conditions change. That's what makes these forums so helpful to give inspiration to other and future builders.

thank you!  Although the some holes were inherited  ::toothy

Re-assembled the door, glass etc and checked fit and function . finalized the welding.

Took it all apart,  metal prepped and painted.

Fiber glassed in the frame.

Once it dries re-assemble

Took a ton of time to fabricate the handle support.

I had fond memories of this massive erector set my dad bought me when I was in second grade  ::toothy

Ordered up a remote door lock and unlock system.

While Im waiting around, made additional adjustments and fiber-glassed the outer door skin  (again).

Next is the reinstall of the window glass and mounting of the OEM outer wind sweep.
