Title: Starting an AVENTADOR KIT soon.
Post by: armyman on November 05, 2013, 12:56:15 PM
Ok so after selling my Mercy 1 Partial build (carkitinc challenge on here), I have decided to build an Aventador kit. I will be picking up a 1988 Fiero GT this weekend and my Vengeance 7 body from Carkitinc will be ready Dec 1st. but between now and then I may need parts. Does anyone make parts for them yet. Will post pics as the build goes on.

Off subject, but wondering how the mercy 1 turned out. I remember you working on it but don't remember any pictures. Looking forward to seeing the Aventador being built. I don't believe anyone else has started a actual build yet.

Mercy 1 went ok. I got it to the stage that all it needed was paint, rims and finish the interior. But was not satisfied with how the body looked, so I sold it. By the way I'm actually building the Aventador kit for a friend, and I am restoring the 88, just restoring it into a different car. ::rocker

Here is the 88 Fiero GT I am looking at getting, it's an automatic, runs and drives good, but needs a little work.

So your friend is actually going to fund this project as you build it
seems like a lot of work for you unless he's paying you well to do it
the veng7 looks crazy to put together not being made to sit on the donor like the others

I have built a Diablo, and both Mercy 1 and 2. So when a chance to build an Aventador comes along, of course I am going to take the opportunity to do it. Of course he will be paying me well, We have worked out a deal so as if he don't pay the car is mine.

Wow, I hope he does mot let you down when it comes to pay. Pls no offence but did you finished complete any  of those previous cars ?
God luck and please keep us posted . As 4 d Fiero keep it stock you'll get more value of it

No offence taken. Yes I finished the diablo and one of the Mercy kits. I posted pics of them on one of my old threads. And I understand about the car being worth more stock, but if it was mine I would also choose an 88 to build on.

I knew you had built cars I was just saying that the kit seems to be cut into many individual panels with no way to connect and mount them, while the diablo and murcies are mostly one piece and they sit right on the fiero mounts. It'll probably be much harder than mounting watson panels.

Well, I didn't think about that. Hopefully it won't be to difficult.

Picked up the body from Carkitinc. Body looks good, real thick. Will need to touch up a few spots but pretty satisfied.

IKR explained this to me, This is actually an EDDIE kit (from south Carolina) carkitinc and robsLP640 bought these from him and sell them to people, I'm sure if you contacted him directly you could probably get it cheaper than the both of them sell it for. ::zzzzz

As stated below, I do not have the money to finish it! All that needs to be done to finish it is, A little body work, Paint, rims/tires roof and working door glass and maybe some small cosmetic things. I will try and upload pics this weekend.
