Just like the header says, I'd like to get a group buy together and see how many people would be interested! These are OEM size and shape Murcielago coupe door and quarter glass! I'm not positive on the prices yet, but my best guess would be $750 for BOTH door glass shipped to you within the US. $500 for BOTH quarter glass shipped to you within the US. Or $1,150 for ALL 4 pieces packaged and shipped to you! Please let me know if there is anymore interest in this price package! I will need people to trust in the fact that I will need to collect payments, order, receive, then ship to you! This process could take a handful of months but I believe I have proven my trust worthiness to several of you on here! Let me know either by PM or a comment on here! I will give this a little time but will require full payment as I am just a regular dude and can't afford to get stuck with $10,000+ worth of product!

I'm all in! This is wonderful, this glass is very hard to get unless you buy from Lamborghini and it's very expensive. As soon as you know when you will be placing the order let me know and I'll send you the money right away.

There are cheaper alternatives but there is no guarantee they will fit like OEM! Mike has done a good job with finding alternatives and they can be made to work, but if you want them to fit like the real car, OEM is the only way to go! I have purchased similar quarter glass just like Mike and am finding out that there will be several things needed to make them fit properly! For one the curve is off a bit so it won't line up with the factory quarter glass trim piece, and if that is off it will not line up with the side door glass and still no verification if the door glass will work with the lines on a factory windshield! I am not pressuring anyone to buy this just wanted to make it available to all parties!

Well you've sold me on the quarter glass, but what about the door glass? Is it worth it or are the alternatives close enough? Also, would buyers have the options of door glass for the coupe or the roadster?

Has anyone actually got an off-the-shelf alternative door glass to work? I know there are several ideas about what may work. I've heard that some glass doesn't roll down all the way in the door.
I think the truth is, nothing is going to fit like OEM spec glass.

We have all looked for alternatives but none fit 100% like OEM does and his price is about half of what it usually costs.

My theory is if the quarter glass doesn't have the correct curve neither will the door! Anything can be made to work but if you are overly anal about details like this (I am) you will want OEM! I do not believe they are available in roadster, just so it is known these are not actual OEM they are copies of OEM! The price appears steep, but I would love to see a cheaper alternative! The cheapest used door glass I can find at the moment is $800 for one side! And that is a good price! The quarters are definitely not cheap and somewhat hard to find! Thanks again!

Yes, no problem hope there are more people interested. I will possibly leave this open for a little while as I only want to do this once and am very nervous about shipping glass lol! I am only doing this so I can get my glass and figured we could drive the price down by buying several pieces! I would like to do 10 sets if possible, hope we can get that many!

It depends. I would think the quarter glass would be OK but the door glass may be too large. You definitely want to find out from someone in the know if this will work for your application. Maybe someone can jump in and let us know? I know Dustin and Chris have a good idea of the differences between the G28 and OEM doors.

The fact that the curvature of your quarter glass and door glass will match by going this route will definitely be an advantage. If I remember correctly USMC Butler has compared his G28 glass to an OEM door and they are very close! Hopefully he will chime in and verify this!

I think I will leave this open through the end of the week to obtain interested people within the states! After that I will proceed to collect funds and that way we can get the ball rolling on this! I don't want to leave anyone out but also don't want to drag this out forever! I am willing to give people interested a chance to gather there funds for a little while but after that I gotta get this ordered as soon as possible!!!

This is a really good deal but two weeks after Christmas is a bit tough for me. I'd love to get both but I think I can only afford the door glass now. If I had another few weeks, I could do both. Oh well, timing doesn't always work out. Thanks again for getting this going. Hopefully, everyone interested will jump in and get this while it is available.

I can stretch it out a few weeks if that helps people get there funds together, I just don't want this to drag on forever! I want to first get a list of people so they know how many are needed, then I will give everyone say 2-3 weeks tops to collect enough cash! If this sounds fair let me know!

Talked with USMC Butler and he said the main difference between the OEM glass and the G28 would be up toward the front of the door where the mirror is! If you alter the mirror mounting area to fit an OEM size mirror, such as what AutoPro makes, or just enlarge it, the OEM glass should work well with your G28! Hope this helps!

That is a hiccup indeed, I'm glad you figured this out for me, thanks much for that. On the plus side, if I went with Autopro's mirrors I could have folding mirrors. Also, did USMC say anything about the height of the window? I know some guys have talked about not being able to roll the window all the way down, just curious if that is also a problem with the OEM glass? Thanks again for the info

I believe the OE glass would be able to roll all the way down but can not verify for myself! I don't think the height of the doors very that much but could be wrong! Autopros mirrors are the only way to go in my opinion and if you do use him you will need to alter that portion of the door regardless! They will save you days vs using CKI mirrors! Once again I will try to find you an answer hope it's good news! ;)

Here is a pic of an OEM sized door window frame over a G28 door. This was taken by usmc_butler, he is replacing the door top frames on his G28 doors. You can see where it needs to be modified at the mirror area.

So I've got good news and some bad news! The glass has arrived in good shape and looks outstanding. The bad news is they forgot to ship the drivers side door glass!!! :'( I've sent them an email asking for them to resolve this hopefully I get an answer back shortly and I will keep you all informed!

My apologies, I have been in contact with these guys and they are working on getting us the remaining glass! I have 3 of the 4 pieces for everyone who has ordered. I'm confident these guys will come through as they know I'm a potential repeat! Trust me, I hate playing with other peoples money as much as the next person. I really wish this had been an easier transaction and I could have this mess off my hands but for the time being I will fight through it and make sure everyone is taken care of! If it's any consolation I plan on doing more business with these fellas cause believe they have been trying to right there wrong!

I'm glad to hear you trust them. It is a little nerve-racking that we are relying on someone we (I) don't know or trust to come through for us. They should be able to give you some kind of ETA on the missing pieces. If they haven't provided an ETA, can you get that from them and let us know? I think that would make everyone feel better.

All I know at the moment is that they are out of that particular glass and are waiting on there vendor to fill that order! I have been told it will ship directly to me once they have the missing pieces! They are very apologetic and have offered different scenarios to try and help! Unfortunately the one thing needed to make it right is the one thing they can not control at the moment, and that would be getting us the glass we want! Last I spoke with them this morning they were gonna do there best to get us a time frame! Please hang in there! Thanks

I am sensing frustration from you Purple but I don't understand why. I am sorry if you feel I have done something wrong. From my perspective, an ETA is not an unreasonable request. What is the problem? *shrug*
I know the shortage on the order isn't your fault. Things go wrong. I understand that. It is how we handle these situations when they come up that is important.

I never said you did anything wrong I was simply trying to answer your questions. As I said previously these guys are currently trying to get me an ETA. I can not get this on my own. They were very prompt with getting the glass in the first place I'm sure they will do everything they can to get it to us in a timely manner. The only thing I'm frustrated with is the lack of glass in my possession. If there is something I have done wrong in this transaction, or you don't like the way I handled it please help me help you. I will gladly work with you to make someone else's wrong my wrong and your right. But you gotta let me know what you want.

There is still no ETA, but like I said prior these guys are more then willing to make things right as I got a refund for the drivers side glass! I will now resubmit the payment and get another 45 day extension. Paying 4.5% on this twice is absolutely killing me but I want to make sure everyone gets there product! I will update when there is something worth updating! ::wave

I think that is the right way to go. We are definitely more protected that way. One thing I don't understand is why you/we have to pay a 4.5% fee twice. ::scratch If they charged a 4.5% fee on the driver's side glass (which it sounds like they did), they should refund that 4.5% fee when they issue a refund for the driver's side glass. PayPal doesn't charge *ANY* fee on refunded payments (with the exception of a $.30 transaction fee) so why wouldn't they refund that along with the money for the glass? We could then pay the 4.5% fee again when we send the new payment and PayPal charges them. It should all work out. As long as they are sending a partial refund and not a new payment back to you, they won't be charged the fees.

Sorry for the lack of updates but yes they milked this for days, weeks, months, almost a year!!! I really didn't want to give any more false promises and that is why I've been quite. Sadly it sure seems like I have created some enemies in the effort to get these and help out, my apologies. But I have the good news we all want to hear! Tonight I arrived home to a sexy looking box on my front door step! You'll all be glad to hear it contained the missing glass! Sooooo Please give me a little time to get these boxed up properly, and shipped out! This may take me a little time to find an affordable reputable shipping company I can trust. I spent a lot more on customs then I had planned on, receiving 3 shipments that could have fit in a single box certainly didn't help the cause!!! >:( but we got them, it's over, I just gotta get them to you guys!!! ::bounce
