Simpleman, this may be for you!!
-
Keep in mind it has what looks like rough interior. Cheap autozone seats. an overheating V6. And worst of all a salvage title... Probably not worth $20k... He had this for sale a few months ago for quite some time and no one picked it up obviously...
-
It can be retitled as sb100 in California to get a clear 2015 special construction title and permanent smog exemption
-
I see auto upgraded to paddle shifter, new v8, it has potential for someone with some know how.
-
it probably hasnt been bled properly

Which Diablo body is the most accurate?
I think I am more of the mind to spend the time and money on the most accurate looking clone.
the following post talks about the IFG body.

Does any one have any thoughts to the most correct Diablo body?
Thanks

The car in the ad seems to be the later model IFG replica which is more accurate than the earlier sculpted ones.

Here is the real deal answer ,the "Phantom" model Diablo replica from IFG was a "sculpted" car body,to start selling, they sold so many that they purchased a NAERC body from Custom Toys ,copied it and this is where the new IFG 6.0 & Roadster came from , later the roadster front end and engine cover was used from a Creative Coach body kit to make the roadster. the other seller of the roadster version was Top Gun Replica,s .

Where did the Top Junk uhmmmmm Top Gun Roadster come from? Is it a Sculpted or splashed or a combination or was it just stolen/Copied from NAERC/IFG/DnR

I'm not a Diablo guy but IKR seems to be on to something.

this is where most of the Roadster in LA came from Creative Coach ,then others splashed them and created their own companies ,3 companies had 1 supplier and 1 set of molds ,then Top Gun , CRP , Exotic Super Cars were all formed.

That's not an ifg body, ifg 2nd roadster product is no where near close or accurate compared to naerc. If they copied anything they sure didn't do a good job. I believe they're 2nd car is sculpted as well.
I Have 3 diablos in my shop. Crp, IFG, & A corey davis. ...anyone is welcome to stop by a judge or see for yourself.
naerc had the most accurate diablo replicas
d n r. Had the best fiberglass quality. ...easier to build
crp diablos, exact replicas
top gun had a great body as well. All other manufacturers out there tried but fell short.
-
That's great Rod that a comparison is being done in your shop with all 3 , in 2015 ,we were their when the first accurate Diablo roadster was made , Creative Coach made it ,then it went to NEARC ,where it was refined more, the owner of CRP ( composite racing products ) was in the shop at Creative Coach with us buying a body.ifg started with the sculped body ,then purchased the 6.0 Naerc these are facts ,ifg went with a 1 piece body ,D & R ,started with the same coupe body ,with a donor car windshield. Later they made their own roadster version.

Rodriguez can you post pics showing the differences
-
Rod is right, Mike Bova copied the OE roadster, I saw the body being pulled when I. Went to get mine.
Its to bad that mike got out of the biz he did good work

Texted the seller - here is what I found out..... I haven't looked at the car in person.
It is located in Salinas, CA. A bit of a drive for me.
He texted me a video of the car running sounded decent.
Who built the car – doenst know, I asked who owned the car
Doesn’t know what generation of IFG
Has glass side windows that are power and work good.
No radiators in the rear of the car.
No squeaks when driving the car., although he says he has only driven it 30 miles
Doors function well, but needs shocks
Wheel Spacers
New rear tires
Windshield wiper - not sure if it works
All digital gauges work
Says he wanted to put a V8 in it, but know good mechanics where he lives :)
Engine hood held up by stick
Paint is good but has scratches
No air suspension
Removable roof works good.
Asked for VIN number. haven't received it yet
Anybody have a guess as to value? Looks to need some $'s.
Thanks
