And today for some great news, yesterday I received my plates, registration and VIN numbers for the car.  It's officially registered and legal  ::headbang ::bounce

Some more miscellaneous pics:

Door complete, the only thing that I did not have installed in this picture is the door handle, otherwise everything else is done!

I was lucky enough to get a 670 Engine lid but it needed some work, here is the initial fitment.

This is the fitting of the inner structural pieces that will cover the metal roll cage, these are the next pieces to get bonded after I finish sealing up all the other joints.

Here are the grills that I fitted to the fender opening, I used some grills that were sent to me by mistake from a Gallardo.

Hey guys sorry that I have been away for a while but I have been working on the car all this time.  I'm glad to report that the body is fully mounted and bonded to the frame now.  I am just going and finishing sealing up all the inner pieces so that air and water do not get into the cab.  As soon as I am through with that I will bond the door skins and will be able to start on the body work finally  ::sun

Well here is a picture I took on Saturday, I was sealing the inner left fender where it mates to the A pillar and to the hood.

How's my favorite build coming along??

I was just thinking the same thing, hopefully he'll come back.  I was living vicariously through him lol.

Pedro,

The build is coming together really well, it's exciting to have been following along and see that you're on the final stretch... great job as always!

Thanks bro, I'm still working on the darn doors but they are getting close to being done.  Just a lot of tedious little things to do.

Thanks Nick for posting those, and Neils I still plan to add another reinforcement bar at the middle of the door running horizontally but I want to wait until I finish all my window work to make sure there isn't anything in the way.  Thanks for the thought bud  ::salute

He added framing, you just can't see it because it's hidden under the glass.

Are you going to add some type of internal framing to your door?  I put a 1x3 (box) steel beam across the door around bumper height for safety.  In a side collision, this beam will hit against vertical structures that are part of the car framing.  Everything builds off of this beam, and I still have enough room for the regulator and glass.

I've also been working on my door windows and I bonded the run channels this weekend.  I still haven't found some proper glass run channel seals so a trip to the junkyard will be needed this week.  Now I understand why everyone says that the doors are the hardest part of the builds.  It feels like I have been working on the doors forever now.

I received my engine kit from Purple LP670 SV this past week and all I can say is that it is incredible  :notworthy .  I can just imagine how long it took to make the molds and then cast all these pieces, it is totally worth the money.  Here are some pictures so you guys can see what a piece of art this is:

And finally here is a picture showing all the pieces that come with the kit, there sure are a lot of them.
