I've been busy block sanding on the car for the past few weeks and it is almost ready for paint.  I started building a spray booth in my garage in order to paint the car and all its pieces.  I'll be placing the fan in the back blowing air in and some filters on the front for the air to get out.  This is with the idea of having positive air pressure in the booth so that dust doesn't get sucked in.  I'll be adding more pics of the booth once I finish it this weekend.

I also got some air hose and clamps for my throttle bodies and did a bit of work on my brake caliper covers.

I hope to be able to start paint on the car next Monday  ::bounce

These will probably be the last pictures of the car all in one piece.  This week I am going to start taking pieces off in preparation for paint.  I will assemble the car again after it's all painted.  For this reason I did take it out for a little drive on Sunday just around my neighborhood  ::LAMBO2

Thanks Dale, since I really like painting cars I really try to do a good job at it.  To get good body lines I guide coat the primer and place tape on the edges of the body lines and then I block the upper side of the panel.  After that first side I remove the tape and position it again above the body line and block the lower side of the panel. 

I keep going like this all around the body till I am satisfied with the results.  The guide coat really lets me see any defects.  As you can see by the pictures I have already found a few in this first pass.  At least they are very minor and will probably only require a couple of extra coats of primer to fix.

Yes Eddie, I just bought it.  It's a 1972 Porsche 914 and just started working on it to restore it.  Here are a couple of pics.

Carlos is my friend and he came over on Friday and took some pictures of my car and posted them on his facebook.
