HELP for the building of an Aventador engine
« Reply #1 on: November 28, 2015, 03:52:09 PM »
Hello everybody, my name is George and Im located in Europe.

I would like to start building the next few months an Aventador,
and, as Im in research about the parts Im gonna need ,
I would like to ask you some questions about the engine issue....

As, I have almost not at all idea about engines,
I know that Aventador has a V12 rear-engined RWD, dual-clutch, semi-automatic engine with padles...
So, in this case which combo custom-build engine could be closer to this concept?
in the cheapest option? (As I don't have money to burn....)
So far, I've seen the LS engine option, but Im not a fun of it.
About the V12 Toyota Supra I don't have a complete idea...
The option I like most, so far, is the Mercedes S600 V12 '95-'00 edition
matched with the transimission of the Cima. Am I right????
(I have seen the video of the sound that makes with the right exsaust and it's awesome....!)
But I don't know.....
Which motor of this date sould be better to choose and which model of Cima transmission fits on it?
Besides that what other parts Im gonna need to complete the engine issue of the car?
in this option, what kind of horse power will I have?
I hope this is a rear engine-combo for RWD use, right???
And besides that, this engine will be a standard automatic and turned to race use with padles
whenever I need? (As it is in the Aventador?)
I know, these are silly questions for the most of you, but please, give me some help....
