Made a cardboard template for my rear wheel wells.  Used 1/8 inch ABS.  Will have some adjustments to make once the rear end is in. but close for now.

One side of V2 was installed and all the V1 issues are still there.  Richard stated he QC'd them, I asked if he mounted a tire to the setup, he stated he did not.  I said you didnt test them correctly the mounted tire holds the rotor to the hub... oh well ::tongue

A couple of issues with the Caliper bracket

1. The tapped holes are just slightly to far toward the center and therefore the caliper is to far in when mounted.  This causes the caliper to rub the outside edge of the rotor.

2. The Rotor is not centered in the caliper/brake pads. . There is no adjustment in that direction.

My machine shop friend will take .030 off the diameter of the rotor. The caliper mounting bracket will be reduced by 1/16 of an inch in the area where the caliper is bolted and on once side of the bracket only.

This will be done on one rotor and bracket and tested out before the other side of the front end is done.

Haven't even tested the brackets for the rear.... but I'm sure they are okay, right?  :LL:

Well well, I would say,"out with the old and in with the new", but that has been done once already :o

Got Version 2 (V2) of the Arruat Motorsport Suspension today,  I pray to the old gods and the new gods, that there will be no V3.   Its the front drop spindles that are the biggest concern,  They said the QC'd them with the Caliper I sent them... so who knows.....

Thanks CCIE!  Went to the high end car show room that sells  lambos, ferraris, and so on, and was looking at a murci,  Told the guy I didnt like the red leather.  He said they used a guy that did all of the upholstery for them, I asked him who, he told me and that is who I used.

It was a big shop and pretty busy talked to the owner, He has done a complete OEM Murcie and he will be doing my REDO... someday  :LL:

Semi final position of seat. ebrake and seat belt.  I can gain another 1/2  inch head room by adjusting my Simple frame.

Pretty tight where the ebrake handle is.... thinking  ::scratch about a REDO of IKR side pieces to smooth out the top edge from the 90 degree it is now.  This would give me 1/2 inch at the top of the piece. Also maybe move the ebrake handle forward Since the seat is pretty much in the back position. 

Will mull it over while drinking an adult beverage! ::toothy

Worked on getting my seat mounted to the lowered floor pan so I could finalize the steering column.

Made a simple frame to mount the seat to.  Will cut a notch in the front of the frame and cut the frame in the rear so it slopes.

Mocked up the frame the seat and the e brake handle.  Seems to work/fit nicely, although the e brake need to go towards the rear to be closer to the OEM position

had to do a REDO on what was a nice set of MM paddle shifters, that came with the car.

gouged metal, drops of resin, chipped paint, gray primer over spray 888o

Sand, base & clear
That works!

With the steering column out.... some rust and jagged edges to clean up.  Will use rubber edging to protect the instrument cluster wiring.

Prepped the rust and used po15

Also cleaned and prepped the floor and any cuts to the body that had rust on the drivers side.

Time for a cocktail!

The existing sebring column rear mount was rubbing on the brake booster lever an had to be cut out.

Time sure does fly a MM post back in 2009 on the sebring column.

To attach the end of the fiero steering column to the Sebring column, used a tight fitting bushing to go over the splines. Then cut two slits in the fiero column end, the bushing and welded all three together.

ZZP fuel logs and injectors installed.  I really like them over the oem fuel rail.

Arruat shipped the REDO on the front spindles and rear caliper brackets today.  Hopefully they are correct this time.

My Taj Garage did a nice job but with that method you still have to remove the inner door panel to access the screws to remove the door skin.  My method has the removal screws at both ends of the door, inside the door jambs.

It is a lot more work but think about making the door skins removable.  That will make it so much easier to work on anything and everything inside the door while you are building AND when you are done and need to service it.
