Sweet combination for a low rumble ....not A exotic sound ,but a great combination muscle cars

4T60 none electric trans brackets ,will need the rubber mounts to match

Brackets are off a 88 Ciera 4T60. $30 shipped. these are the 2 mounts that attach to the tranny

QUESTION :

If the LS4 5.3 ENGINE was mated to the 6T75 six-speed automatic transmission ...2010 GMC Acadia .. 2 wheel drive / 3.6 Li engine

could someone run the no. on top speed @ 3100 LBs on the Fiero  , 0.74:1 overdrive sixth gear crusing speed @ 75 mph interstate would be 1700-1800 rpm ......not sure ,give me some help here

2010 GMC Acadia .. 2 wheel drive

6T75 six-speed automatic transmission
The 3.6 VVT V-6 DI engine will be mated to the 6T75 six-speed automatic transmission. It is an
advanced transmission with clutch-to-clutch shift operation for front- and all-wheel drive
vehicles. The transmission's six-gear configuration allows for a "steep" 4.48:1 first gear, which
helps deliver exceptional launch feel, and a 0.74:1 overdrive sixth gear. Sixth gear lowers rpm
at highway speeds, reducing noise and vibration while improving fuel economy. Also, the 6T75
offers automatic grade braking, shift stabilization and precise shift control.

BELL Housing
6-speed Automatic

This would be a great set-up in a SuperBass Replica !!!!  Engine for sure .

The GM LS4 starter is mounted on the transmission.

Have read about the 4.8 as well, cheap, capable of higher revs, available and strong for sc/turbo boost.  Can take an LS intake.

Another setup is the chrysler 3.5 H.O. all alum (supercharger kit avail) and trans setup.   I think paddle shifter setup avail as well.

Are you saying that an aluminum 325 weighs 50 lbs more than an iron 350?

The other drivetrain Im building is a stroker 383 LS1 (all aluminum) with a TH425 (transmission only- weights the same as 4t80e or less) and a custom built (all aluminum) IFS differential. So in the end it, minus the twin turbos it really doesnt weigh more than 40lbs more that a LS4 swap.

The sbc thats in my Diablo now is just a little 350 w/ aluminum heads & intake, roller cam, ect, w/ 5 speed Fiero trans. That motor only puts out about 360hp, the LS1 will be an easy 700hp on e85 and 14lbs of boost.

I still havnt figured out what Im going to do for now. I think Im just going to throw another Fiero 5 speed and continue to drive it like a old granny. The trans in my Diablo has been broken for 9 days now and I miss driving it, I go with a full drivetrain swap it will take me atleast 2 more months to swap it all out. I can replace the broken trans and be driving it in one day. Then just continue finishing the reverse rotation drivetrain without the car just sitting in the garage for the next 3-4 months.

I have put in so much time into the reverse rotation TT- LS1/TH425 that I really want to see it to the end. Im tired of the transverse thing, I want something different. When I get it done and installed, and I dont like it for some reason I dont like it- then I will go to the LS4.

I think......... ::scratch

Tony

I can make you a harness to fit your application. Just finished 1 for Solrac (reventon) and am working on one for IKR right now. I have a LS4 setup on a Fiero cradle that I am building for Joey Adams. Do if you want a wiring harness make right now is the time.

The non turbo LS4 Fiero has been driving reliably for the last 2 years.

Joe Sokol

Joe,
Do you think you could make or give me suggestions for a harness for a LS4/auto trans for my Diablo Roadster? I have no Fiero wiring in my car, I currently have a sbc/5 speed (archie kit) in mine now. I have all aftermarket gauges in my Diablo now, programable speedo, fans are already wired with temp sensors, ect, ect. So I think all I would need would be the brake switch and a tach output, but not sure.....

I just blew my trans and Im at a crossroads with what I want to do now. I really dont want to continue with the old sbc. I have been building a reverse-rotation Twin turbo LS1 with a th425 for a while but I keep running into issues that are making the process a lot longer than I want to deal with. I know I could go with the 3800sc, but I have already had one in another car and plus everyone one else has one.....

Thanks

Neither of the LS4 builds have broken any axles, however the tubro Mircie has broken 3 input shaft's.
