It looks nice. You can part it out after removing the parts you need and hopefully make your money back!

I'll need to find a 2WD trans but at least I won't need an adapter

no damage to this car and supposedly runs and drives, no idea why it was salvaged

Congratulations Bryan, are you going to use the transmission off that same car also?  Do you need to get a different one?  Let's see some pictures of the car you bought.

Sooo, I was bidding on copart today and was excited to win a car on virtual auction and apparently the seller can send me a counter offer because I guess he didn't like how low it sold for. He offered twice what I won the auction for and I guess he doesn't have to sell it to me. He now has set a minimum bid of 2,500usd even though there was never a minimum bid for the lot. What BS

I am also using a vq35de Nissan engine from a 350z. 300 hp and it'll rev high. I like the looks of that v12 though. Good luck Tallon!

I thought it'd be easier to use oem stuff, dont know about aftermarket
looks like some work there

It is very easy to use OEM wiring.
Here is a Word Doc about what wires you need and don't need from the stock BMW harness. It boils down to connecting two lights (Ck Eng and EML), the throttle pedal wires need extending, fuel pump, constant 12V and ignition.

I totally understand just throwing it out there. 320+ hp is pretty good out of a naturally aspirated v6!

That's great, but your 6 cylinders short of what he's looking for...

just throwing this out there...

I think i am gonna change direction on the build and go with a porsche boxster transmission and a 2010+ infiniti v6 with 326hp, or a infiniti v8 engine.

I have a infiniti and absolutely love the reliability and the power it has out of the v6.

The engines are not that expensive, and there is a few places that do CUSTOM harnesses for the infiniti to work with the infiniti gas pedals with the wireless controls, etc. The only catch is the harness is just as expensive as the engine, due to it being PLUG and play.

The only other problem is that it needs a pressed flywheel ignition timing gear, which can be done, but just a lil more $.
